What's on your Menu today (Wednesday) RNYers?
Good morning all!!
QOTD: this is tricky! because RnY is not my 1st bariatric surgery, I learned the hard way who to and not to tell!!! One of my sisters, who is also obese, thinks I'm lazy and taking the easy way out. HA!! When my band slipped, she was the "I told you so" person. She has not been told. My husband and sons know and are as supportive as they can be. My other sister knows and is very supportive. I will see my parents today, they have just returned from their Summer home in New Brunswick, Canada. I'm down 32 lbs. since we last were together, if they don't ask, I won't tell. They worry too much about me with the Lyme disease, no need to stress them any more, they're getting too old. Thanksgiving will be the "Confession Day"!!

Good morning menu gang!!! It is suppose to be in the upper 80's today and tomorrow and then start a drastic cool down. Bummer for the cool down.

"Oh give thanks to the Lord for he is good!"
QOTD: My husband is very supportive, in fact he can be a bit too concerned in a micro-manage-y sort of way, but its true that he doesn't get quite get it. He's one of those that can eat fast food all week and still be at a healthy weight, so doesn't understand the struggle. That being said, he's held my hand through all of this. He was the one that sort of pointed me in this direction (although I'd considered this since a friend of mine was successful with her sleeve), as all my weight-related health issues popped up when I had our son. He wants me healthy and happy. He is the most amazing man I've ever met.
My mom and my sister are supportive, my father is to a degree but he seems to think I need to eat more because I seem "pale" around him lately. I think its just me adjusting to my new lifestyle, healing from surgery, and the post-op blues are still there. I told him to give it some time, and I'll eventually bounce back to my old (or better) self. (Here's to hoping!)

"Oh give thanks to the Lord for he is good!"
QOTD: My family and most of my close friends are very supportive! When I told the hubby that I wanted this, he stood beside me the whole way. My daughter still says "chew chew chew" because of how I would get things stuck so much (ugh, actually happened yesterday morning, after WEEKS of greatness!). My mom is supportive, but I had to reel her in just a little because the last time we drove to see her, I walked in and she got so excited and kept saying over and over "There's Pamela Again!" of "I'm so glad you're Pamela again!"... It really bothered me and I had to stop her and tell her that I've always been Pamela!!!! Grrrr... My sister in law hasn't said a word to me about my weight loss, new eating habits, or anything... She just completely ignores the whole thing... Whatever.
B: I brought 2.7 oz of fajita meat, but that's what I got stuck on yesterday morning. Haven't eaten yet, maybe bacon and eggs from downstairs, and fajita meat tomorrow!
L: more cheese stuffed chicken breast 3 oz
D: Leftovers... either fajita meat, stuffed chicken breast, or pork ribs. And cottage Cheese
S: Hmmm... maybe that Syntrax! or beef jerky...
I am throwing out all of the above foods tonight after we all eat. I'm tired of those! LOL

Well my two know about the surgery... they are both quite younger than me or my husband... different fathers. The rude one is 31yo, and somewhere along the way I pissed her off apparently, because we have a very strained relationship. Apparently I took her 'brother' away from her... whatever, you're married, go love your husband... I didn't take him anywhere!
The other one is very sweet, and lives in Dallas... just far enough away to keep her sweet! (and she's only like 28 or 29?)
Family... gotta love them (and all their quirks!)
