There were many polite Blue Jay fans in Seattle in the final week. The whole town was taken over by polite birds.

Go Mariners..next year.

Hi Eileen! Thanks for jumping on and and posting!  Yes we are a baseball fanatic family.  Your Indians are some serious hot SH&T right now. And thanks for saying we are great fans, I have heard that a lot of players say when they come to the Rogers Centre (our ball park) that our fans are some of the best out there and we can get super loud! And yes Cleveland is only about a 4 hour drive away so easy to pop down for us to see a game.

And I am writing this on Wednesday evening and your Indians just won Game 5 and you are going to the WORLD SERIES! Congrats, your team played the lights out of the Jays!

Still awaiting pathology reports for the Future FIL. Still a big old crazytown at work.

Same old. Same old.

But the wedding is only 25 days away so...

QOTD: Ugh. My center never gave me a goal, in my mind it was always arbitrarily 155, but I never actually got there :-\ 157 was as close as I ever came. These days I've experience bounce back, FOR SURE, but as you said Daze, it's because I've stopped doing what I know I "should" be doing - I don't think it is my body. Again I say, I am a cautionary tale right now.

Busy week this week! the magazine goes to press friday, I've got a freelance project thats supposed to come in sometime this week, and i'm also laying out another project for a job application due monday! I'll be a busy designer bee for sure! I have my 2nd counseling session today which I am looking forward to, because i'm a bit mopy these past 3 or 4 days. THis weekend my sister comes with her son (she and I had boys aroudn the same time) and they'll both be able to play together and I get some sister time with her! It should be great.

QOTD: I think it would be helpful to lose 10 more lbs below goal for "bounceback." I am of course not far enough along to know too much about bounceback, but its good to keep aware. I'm very nervous bout sticking to the rules forever, because i've never been able to stick to a diet for long, hence WLS in the first place. It will be a lot for me to get used to, but at the same time, with RNY and the possibility of "dumping consequences," I think that could help keep me on track.

Time since surgery: 7 weeks

Is your magazine something you want to share with us the title & name?  I know I would love to hear about it, but I totally understand if you don't want to share!  How did your second counseling session go?  I hope its helping and you are connecting with the therapist.  That will be really great to have your sister and nephew around this weekend!

Again great looking menu!  Keep up the great work, I am super impressed how much you are working your butt off!

Saw the Blue Jays lost... and the pitcher had hurt himself a few days ago playing with his drone? Oy. You get paid millions, play with the drone when the season is over.... I got a Paw Patrol bat and baseball on clearance at Target last week for my grandson to play with when he comes. My son is going to call Citifield and see if there is someway to visit/tour so my grandson can get to see the inside of the stadium. If calling himself doesn't work... my girlfriend who now lives upstate NY used to work for the Mets front office...I will have to call her and see if she still knows anyone in the office to get them in... My son would be over the moon to be able to take his son inside Citifield and run the bases....

QOTD: The head surgeon in the practice I go to never likes to give out goal weights- it is a policy... because He says - your body will know where to stop. -- That being said, lower end of whatever you think is normal is probably good...because life doesn't happen in a straight line, and there will be fluctuations. I don't think regain is a given, but I think there is a constant dance and dialog in our head and in our program to keep it there. I think no matter what you do- whether it is WLS, WW, or any other drastic change in eating... your body starts to get used to 'the new normal' after about a year or so... so what was working won't always continue to work, and you have to be willing to adjust.

And yes - we stop eating exactly like we did in the beginning. I remember eating between 550-750 calories a day, and I can't imagine going back to that.  I had a better day yesterday- mentally and with my food...although the scale didn't show anything. We want instant gratification... amirite? Made a tray of Lasagna last night with Dreamfields pasta - still pasta but higher protein and higher fiber. Mama has to cook Italian at least once while they are here.... so I always figure lasagna is the best choice- lots of protein and easy to eat around the noodles if you want. Even if I don't eat around the noodles, the amount in a small piece is very little. Also made some Thai chicken, and Chicken Verde in my InstaPot to be ready for some easy lunches/dinners.

!: coffee latte with fairlife milk and miralax, 2 eggs and cheese

2: Lunch in Astoria near LaGuardia Airport- Probably ethnic, make it meat centered

3: Depends how big Lunch is- Maybe Italian Turkey sausage Frittata, salad

Snacks: Trail mix, Kirkland protein bar, Chocolate chai latte

Ex: 21-day-fix

Not sure how to word this and be kind. You remember the days of eating 5-7 hundred calories and can't imagine going back to that? I don't understand? I am not dieting but seldom go over that at 13+ plus years. I am just confused.
