Good Morning! We had a nice weekend and ended up going to the fair for date night (it was fun though!) and then went for a nice walk yesterday morning before we picked Em up from the birthday/slumber party she was at. I have quite a bit to do here in the office today because the remainder of the week I am working from our Sacramento office. I am catching the train tomorrow morning so I am hoping to get a nice seat that will allow me to work while I travel.

QOTD: For me it's over indulging in snack type foods. You know a handful of cheez-its here and there, a protein bar in the evening, trail mix. The last few weeks have been better on most days. Always going to be a work in progress.

Time since surgery: 2 years, 2 months

B: SF latte, egg beaters with shredded cheese, 2 turkey sausage links

L: Bananas and cream protein shake with powdered PB2 with chocolate

S: SF latte, Carbmaster banana cream pie yogurt, Buddig ham

D: Burrito bowl (pulled pork loin, black beans, cheese, sour cream and hot sauce),SF pudding with cool-whip

E: 45 mins stationary stepper this morning and elliptical at lunch

V/W: On track

Totals: Cals:989 Protein:127 Carbs:66 Fat:24

Have a great one!

Date night sounds like a ton of fun!  Hope your train ride is fun and productive!  Is it far from your home/current office?

Resisting Snacking is hard!!!!!!  And I could not agree with you more on "always a work in progress."  So true!

Your dinner sounds amazing, I love anything Mexican, one of my fav flavours out there!  YUM!!!

Have a great day!

The train ride there is a little over 3 hours but the trip home is longer since I have to change trains and there is 2 hour "layover". Hope you have a great one!

Had an uneventful but busy weekend. I recently went full time at work and it is kicking my butt. Hats off to those that do it all the time. I work nights and when I work my days are roughly 19 hours, so I know it looks different for me than most full time employees but still.  I am actively looking for a job that will allow me to join the living but since we want to stay government it is slow going.

I don't really have a tough time of day, weekends are my struggle. I  am out of my routine and hanging out qith hubby who eats way differently than I can.

Overall I am doing well with my weight loss. Down 197 pounds and just a few more to my overall goal. It is surreal. Had my B12 checked and it hascome way up. I am no longer having tingling in my fingers and hands. I also realized I haven't woken up sobbing in pain, so that is awesome news.

My meal plan is uninspiring but guarantee it is on plan and I am trucking towards my goal.

Full time work is hard, full time Night Shift work is brutal, did it for years, I won't go back.

Its true on weekends too, I am out of my "routine" and snacking tends to happen more on weekends.

Congrats on being down 197 lbs, wow that's awesome!  Glad you no longer have the tingling and pain.

Weekend was busy with two BBQ's., but it was fun and both were pretty far into the mountains so we had some great drives.

QOTD: Ugh, my candy snacking is killing me. I know it and just can't stop, going to have to pull a protein shake/all meat cleanse soon. Hopefully that will help.

Time Since Surgery: 10 Months

B: Breakfast Burrito

L: Chicken Apple Salad

S: Tuna

D: Dijon Chicken

Glad you had a great weekend.  Driving to the mountains sounds awesome.

I had a really candy addiction pre surgery. I can not have candy around me know. I kind of have a love hate relationship with Halloween, I love to see kids dressed up, love to see houses decorated and love to  carve a pumpkin.  But the candy... nope can't have it in my house as I know I will eat myself back to being MO. We give out chocolate bars that I don't like so I know I won't be tempted.  Its hard, good luck on kicking the candy addiction, that will be hard but so worth it!

Good looking menu.  Maybe add in a night time Protein Snack and that will help with your candy snacking.  Just a suggestion.  Good luck!

Good morning DD2, good morning menu gang.  I have the next 3 days off of work, so it will be nice to hang with my kids.  My hubby had to leave this morning and drive to a job.  He'll be gone tonight, and if things don't go well, possibly tomorrow night.  Last night, the little woke up in his bed at 1:30 and came into our room.  He tossed and turned until 3am when he asked me if we could go downstairs and play.  Since I didn't have to work today, I took him down and put some cartoons on.  He asked me for peanut butter toast, so I'm guessing he was hungry and that's why he was up.  I cajoled him into climbing back into bed at about 6am, and it's 10 and he's currently still sleeping.  I woke up about 45 minutes ago.

DD2QOTD: Like you, my problem is snacking in the evening.  Honestly, I usually have popcorn (airpopped) with butter and salt.  I'm trying to break the habit of it, and really need to try to switch to something less carby.  I think that carrot sticks with greek yogurt dip is a good alternative, but I just have to prepare in advance for that.

my menu for today is a bit carby, but I'll deal with it.

14.5 months since surgery and my weight is back up to 160.  I'm thinking that it's a lot of water weight, since I ended up having beef jerky for breakfast yesterday and really salty turkey taco meat that my hubby made for dinner.  My rings won't even spin on my finger this morning with out much prodding.

B: turkey taco meat with plain greek yogurt on an Ole Extreme Wellness tortilla.  This tortilla is super yummy, and it's only 50 calories, though the carbs are a bit high, it's lots of fiber.

L: turkey, mayo, and tomato on half a flat out wrap.

D: leftover chili (it's made with half beef half turkey)

S: leaving this open.

totals without snacks

calories 826 protein 82 carbs 61 fat 32

I'm really not super hyped with this menu, since it's higher in calories than I'd like, but this is what I've planned for the day.  I reserve the right to change it if needed.

have a wonderful day everyone.

Hope you enjoy your 3 days off with the kiddo, that sounds nice!

A lot of us seem to have a hard time with night time snacking, apparently its a 'thing' cuz a lot of us do it!

Bummer on the extra water weight and rings that won't move, I guess we know what you are doing today, drinking a ton! LOL

I love chili and need to make a batch up for easy dinners, nothing better than crock pot food!
