oh I am so sorry about your girl, one of my labs snapped off one of her dew claws as well once, she was limping too.  Ripping a nail is horrible so I hope she is out of pain and healing well.  Poor thing.

Sorry you skipped the 5k but I understand. Don't push yourself if you are not ready, that's smart!!!  So sure what made you feel ill but to this day carrots are hit and miss for me.  Cooked carrots tend to work better for me, raw like with dip not so much. It could have been the cheese and the dip, who knows right.  Bummer you felt like crap though.  WIN on avoiding the cake & cupcakes.

Glad I am not the only one who is struggling in the evenings... and you are right if I eat "meat" I am not so snacky, but you wants to eat a few ounces of chicken breast at 930pm at night when there is pumpkins scones, or Corn chips to be had LOL LOL  Be strong, I got your back!

Yay for leftovers, I love leftovers!  And yes eating things in your fridge before you go away on a trip is a must right! LOL

It's going to be warm here in Illinois too today, possibly over 90. I had to pull out some lighter weight clothes for the last two days but I am ready for fall and boot season to get here. I got my 3 miles in this morning already but Lily stayed home as she was frolicking like a puppy last night and pulled a muscle. She is limping around today so I gave her a rest from the long walk but will take her for a short around the block trip tonight. She is pouting now--it's so Sad! QOTD my biggest habit is snacking too,Daisy. I am usually able to resist by glancing at my before picture but the urge and temptation is always there just like my fondness for sweets. I am pretty sure they are evil but always look and smell so good even though I dump and would be miscramble. Post op 4 years 11/2 months and weight at 118 today. Here's the food plan B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L at Cracker Barrel 1 scrambled egg and some bacon D 31/2 oz chicken cheese roll up 1/2 c Brussels sprouts S mission one chocolate brownie protein bar .  Have a great day everyone and make some amazing choices ,!

We seem to all be having warm temps. I am with you Karen, bring on the Fall coolness, sweaters & boots please!

I am so sorry to hear Lily is hurt. Poor girl.  When one of my dogs got a shoulder injury we used an ice pack wrapped in a tea towel, made him lie down and put it on his shoulder for a few minutes on and a few minutes off.  We ended up getting an inflammatory medication from the vet as it would not go away and it worked wonders.  If she is not better in a few days might have to get her something.  It was called "Onsior" came in a chewable tablet, and it worked great.  I know she is an active dog so I am sure this is killing her, give her some love from me!

Again glad I am not the only one who is battling the snacking too!  I am usually able to resit it too but some days lately it has been extra hard.  I think it the cooler weather make me think comfort food and evening snacking.  I don't dump so I can still eat sweets if I want and like you they are my slippery slope food, I love sweets. Good for you for being strong!

Enjoy cracker barrel, I love their meatloaf and its so huge its like 3-4 meals in one!

Hi DG, weekends do for sure go by too quick, especially if you are busy!

Glad no bad habits have snuck in yet, keep it that way!!!

The weight is melting off you, you must feel amazing!

Great looking menu!!

I used to use the BA caramel calcium chew before I started the PatchMD.  In the beginning I did find them very sweet but that was also because I found everything sweet. Then my taste buds changed after 1 year post op and the overwhelming sweetness in stuff was not there anymore and I was fine with them.  Do you take them on an empty stomach?  If yes then take them when you eat some protein.  So one at breakfast, one at lunch and one at dinner and it should help (maybe, I am guessing).

Have an awesome day!
