Good afternoon, everyone!

Today I move to puréed soft, and I'm so happy! I had some hummus this morning, and I swear that it was the best thing I've ever had. Didn't get a chance to weigh myself, as my scale is at home and I'm still recuperating at my MIL's house.

QOTD: Being a newbie, I'm still working on changing the way I eat. The old habits haven't had a chance creep back in.

I do believe I was sweating out garbanzo beans and garlic during the pureed stage! I couldn't get enough of hummus! LOL

Pureed foods are the best (at least when you first get to have them!)

Try out eggface's ricotta bake too... that stuff is most awesome!

Oh, that's definitely on the menu, and had planned to make some today. I forgot the ricotta, though, darn it.

just an idea for you since i see lite mayo with your chicken. I will often sub in hummus instead of the mayo, also there is a salad dressing made with yogurt called bolthouse farms that has flavors like avocado lime, caesar, etc and those can be subbed in for the mayo

Hi Daisy & menu crew,

Well ya know I don't post my meals, they're boring anyway, but I do like reading the QOTD & I wanted to respond to this one.

I totally get the bad habits sneaking in part. Lately I've been having kind of a pity party while trying to bounce back from some injuries & its taking longer than expected so I went right back into the oh I feel bad so let me buy some "comfort" food. Now the "comfort" food is more bariatric friendly, that still doesn't offset why I was buying it. Damn why skinny cow ice whatever the *** is in it gotta taste so good! Breaking those habits is hard.

So yeah the **** gets real after the first year. Btw my snacking has gotten a little bit ridiculous & it's far outpacing my meals.I think I've wandered into grazing territory, something I mostly avoided. I log it in mfp & do notice the snacking is higher than the meals so I'm trying to reverse that trend.

I had a pity, party of 1 yesterday.  It's so hard . . . but yet so worth it!

Super late in posting - but a lot going on today

QOTD:  yes - evening snack cravings are the worst!  I often eat SF popsicles if I'm out of calories, because the sugar alcohols in them bother my stomach if I eat more than a couple of them.  A "bothered stomach" *usually* puts the kibosh on my snacking...
