Well 8 more days tomorrow till surgery.

I know everyone journey is there own. However I have a question. (I'm getting ahead of myself) but seeing as you can only lose 80% of your weight the based on where u start so for example:

I'm now 280 and they say I'll only get to 180 tops but I'm trying to be 150 ... is that still a possibility?

I know at that point I believe it will be all on me and it won't be as easy to lose weight as it is the first 3 to 4 months after surgery.

Another question. . Has anyone lost 100 pounds in 4 months?

I'm just curious as to weight and how much ya'll lost in the first month and how long did it take u to be able to get active in the gym?

Any positive advice is great ... thanks wls family

Congratulations on your upcoming WLS. I have all of my losses written down but a starting point for info is I had surgery on March 4, 2016. I weighed 309.8. I am now 175.2. I have lost approximately 135 in 7 months.

Like you said everybody's journey is their own. Remeber to sip and walk as much  as possible after surgery.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Surgery date March 4, 2016

S.W 309.8

C.W. 143.2

that 80% is an average.  There are several people on here who have lost all their excess weight, so it's possible - you just have to really work at it.  100 lbs in 4 months is also possible - but that is at the very high end of the range.  I didn't lose anywhere near that fast, and I've lost over 200 lbs in total

P.S.  I lost 16 lbs the first month.

I could..and did...walk right after surgery.  Most everything else I could do by four weeks out - except for weights.  I think I had to wait six weeks to do weights.
