When did you start exercising after surgery
I had no instructions from my doctors. They just told me to walk walk walk but I really didn't even do that. I followed the diet carefully and at 6 months I felt personally ready to join a gym. I see a trainer for weight training twice a week and don't follow any other schedule for cardio. I basically feel like going every day one week and no cardio but my training sessions the next. I think its personal preference and doctor's trying to get you to prepare for maintenance when it's more difficult to rely just on your food intake. They want you to create healthy habits. As you can see, not everyone needs exercise to be successful in this journey. Do what you feel comfortable with, but stay mindful that you play a big role in that success. Make good choices. :-)
I was only allowed to walk for the first 6 weeks. After that I tried the combination of "try everything 4 times" and "listen to my body." Here's the full story if you're interested - https://www.myvsg.net/2-uncategorised/398-my-exercise-story
