PSA: Patch MD Tested by Unjury
I guess I could understand that argument if someone's labs were good pre-patch and their levels remained steady while on the patch. But there are many people who had deficiencies prior to using the patch, that the patch fixed.
I don't have any data for myself yet. But I struggle with iron absorption. I've lost track on how many oral supplements (at large doses) I've tried and I stilled ended up needing iron transfusions. Ten weeks after giving birth, my numbers were tanked again and I felt like crud. I've been on patch iron vitamins for about four months now and I feel so much better. I don't have blood work (yet) to confirm they are working, but I know they are. I had nothing to lose by trying them and now I'm hopeful I won't need transfusions again.
My point is that while they are relatively new, enough people have been using them that if they were not delivering supplementation, we'd hear about it. On the contrary, those that have used and had labs drawn always sing the praises of them. This to me indicates they are doing what they advertise.

I can't tell you the last time I ate a veggie or piece of fruit. The first Bush presidency? So, I'm not sure where else all the vitamins in my system are coming from

Well I don't malabsorb & I use these patches also. I don't get all my nutrients with food because I don't eat them all. By your theory my labs should also be crappy & they're not. I've used these patches for many months now.

If these studies were published in a peer-reviewed scholarly journal, they might matter. Otherwise, this is just an attempt to debunk from a competitor and not worth anyone's time. Ethos here is lacking.
I've been using the patches for about a year now, my labs are great and have improved from pre-patch.
Don't like them, great, don't use them. But this "report" has no validity.

This statement has nothing to do with the "study" or whatever point you're trying to make.

Regarding Gwen's response - I understand your point.
If PatchMDs claim that each patch contains 3600 mgs of actual vitamins is true, then the patch should weight at least that amount PLUS the wt of the cloth and glue. Unjury's lab says that it doesn't weigh enough. (I post more further below.)
Thanks for the info - it will be interesting to see how Path.MD responds.
