Glad I made you smile Kelly! Date night sounds awesome! What a nice treat! Do you tend to go out or stay in for date nights? We like to go to restaurants and dress up for our date nights, makes it feel like when we were first dating.
There seems to be a lot of people who are naturally fast eaters, its a hard habit to break that's for sure. And yes it felt like a full time job in the beginning but like you said now its actually routine.
Have an awesome weekend my friend!
Good Morning! No new pics from me. I know, you guys are all broken up about it, but it'll be OK.
QOTD! I tend to eat when I'm hungry, so sometimes some of the things I have penciled in for lunch or snack will become part of my breakfast. I also eat pretty slowly, usually because I'm tending to the needs of the boys of the house so... My husband, on the other hand, practically inhales his food. It's kind of gross, TBH. LOL I think it's partly from growing up in a big family and partly from his time in the Marines when you had to be fast at chow. I always tell him to slow down because how can you tell if you've had enough if you're just shoveling it in?

OMG, I LOVE the Caramel Fudge Pretzel yogurt. I have the problem that so does my kiddo. I can't bring them in the house unless I have enough for everyone. My hubby went shopping last weekend and bought 2 of the Light and Fit Crunch yogurts FOR MY 2 YEAR OLD. I'm like, ummm, where's mine? LOL. He got me regular light and fit greek, but yeah, the crunch ones were for Kal. lol
It's SO good, right? I'm eating it right now and I'm enjoying it so much I'm sort of humming to myself. HA!
The fast eating my husband does drives me bazonkers! We've been together 10 years and it's still my biggest pet peeve. I try really hard not to say anything, but sometimes it leaps out of my mouth before I can shut it! I am not a nag by nature, but this is something I can't understand how he still does it. Wouldn't you adjust to avoid my sarcasm hahah?
Daisy, You look Beautiful! Love the pups with their fall leaf accents :)
QOTD: I eat way too fast, but slower than I did pre-surgey. In the beginning I used an app called "eat slower" That you can set to go off at intervals- either a beep or vibrate. When I catch myself I slow down. I still wait 30 minutes after eating to drink. Often set timer on stove or phone to remind me. I often wait until I am hungry to eat, and then I just want to get whatever in my mouth that I can make the fastest. Not good.
Tomorrow I have support group in AM. This one is my favorite. Started by a WLS patient. She is 9 years out keeping off 140lbs. It is at a Panera Bread in the community room- every other Saturday. We sit and drink coffee, talk, she always has a topic and an inspirational quote to end the meeting. Some of the ladies that come are 10-15 years out and keeping their weight off, so a good mix. In the afternoon is the Chilifest for the organization I am President of. One of our major fundraisers- about 15 chili teams to sample, so I will need a pouch of steel tomorrow. :) Live music, face painting for the kids, raffles etc. It is supposed to be cold and sunny... Brrrr may need to break out the cuddl-duds to wear....
Made Cauliflower "fried rice" with Trader Joe's Pre-riced cauliflower. It was delicious, but I had no room for it after my protein. SO ate some later as a snack. Second pic is after exercise this AM-- My body was complaining bitterly about 21-da-fix Pilates...
1: Coffee latte, fairlife milk and miralax - vanilla greek yogurt with Syntrax Cappuccino protein (very yummy- tried yesterday)

3: roast chicken, green beans

I have yet to try the riced cauliflower, but one of these days I really want to! I'll add a bunch of meats/seafood, and that way I can get my protein in, and still have the fried rice flavors! I didn't know Trader Joe's has it pre-riced! We just got a TJ a couple of weeks ago, I'm going to get some of that!
