What's on the Menu today (Thursday) RNYers?

Hi Mike! Mice! Oh those buggers are so crafty! I was letting the dogs out the other night for their bedtime pee and I was about to step on our back patio top step and a big old fat mouse walked right across the step like it owned it, I almost squished it! My chocolate lab Amy loves to catch mice and kill them and sadly my black lab Oliver likes to eat them, yes you read that right, my goofy dog has eaten a mouse or two (right after he did it the first time we called the Vet asap and they said its fine for him to eat it, he might get an upset tummy, but he is healthy and has all his shots so its fine, not "fine" with me but you know what I mean LOL LOL).
I really love your answer Mike, and I am so glad you are part of our menu family! I know we both share a love/have a passion for working out, as do a few of our other menu posters (Shout out to Ironman Nikki!!) so I am glad that you figured out the "don't eat back your exercise calories" and that is for our mental/emotional health. Maintenance is HARD, and every single day I WORK at making good choices, eating the lunch & snacks I brought, not giving into temptations, dealing with mindful eating, its all real, and we all have it, thank god we all have each other for support! And you nailed it "not prepared for the challenges" that says it all right there.
Great looking menu, I am jealous of your apple pie yogurt! LOL
Hey-o! So, yesterday I went to log in saw Daisy had gotten us started (thanks, Daze! ) and decided I would eat breakfast and then post my menu. For whatever reason, I decided that yogurt AND a Pop Tart were an appropriate meal choice. Well, you may not know this, but 21 grams of sugar in one sitting is too much. LMAO I put myself in a hurt locker, for real. And then when that episode had passed, I just went off the rails. Like really and truly off the rails. I logged every sordid morsel, so if you want to experience some shock and awe, just stalk me on my MFP. I'm pretty sure my diary is public.
Anyhoo, it's rainy and gross here today and the temps aren't even supposed to get out of the 50s. Yay? I did pull out my tall boots, though, so that's a bright spot in my day. LOL
DQOTD! I can't really think of anything they told me that I thought was bunk, but the meal progression did include oatmeal and mashed potatoes as some of the mushy food choices. By that time I was already reading the boards so I knew what was up. Something that I find really funny though, is every time I go in they ask me what I'm eating. When I say what I eat for brekkie, the NUT always says I should add Jimmy Dean turkey sausage patties. Even if my menu is all protein. It's completely bizarre, like she works for them or something.
Time since surgery: 2 years, 2+ months
B: HB egg and 2 jalapeno pork sausage links. My NUT would be horrified!
S: Light & Fit Greek caramel fudge pretzel
L: shrimp ****tail and some 34 Degree crackers with a wedge of Laughing Cow
D: roast beef and string cheese rollups after job #2
TOTALS: Cals: 798 Protein: 98 Carbs: 35 Fat: 37
So, my goal for today is to stick closely to this menu, drink all of my water and take all of my vitamins. le sigh Sometimes this **** is so hard.
#maintenanceisa***** #truth I am all about transparency lately, I don't want newbies coming on here and thinking everyone else is being perfect forever.... there are choices and somedays are better/easier than others....

WHAT???? Caramel Fudge Pretzel yogurt? Where did that come from? I am still trying to find the pumpkin yogurt and now there is CARAMEL FUDGE PRETZEL? I am deprived.
And, POP TARTS? My favorite food in the entire world. When I was a kindergarten teacher a kid tried to throw her pink frosted pop tart away because it got cracked. I literally tried to talk her out of throwing it away. And then mourned it being in the trash can.
FYI, I do NOT recommend the Pop Tart. It wasn't even that good and all it did was send me down a fat girl spiral.
I am a happy woman. Caramel Fudge Pretzel, Pumpkin, Salted Caramel, Cherry Cheesecake. Safeway.

Oh no on the poptart!! OMG pre surgery I ate those way too much! Strawberry frosted was my fav!! Sorry you got in the hurt locker and hope that you are feeling better today!
Glad you found OH and already had an idea of what's what, you are lucky! And yes that is totally odd that your NUT pushes Jimmy Dean sausage patties, maybe she just loves them??
Your menu is wicked and next time you have this you need to pack two and ship one up to me here in the Great White North! LOL
How are you digging the new job? Got any wicked shoes for yourself?
p.s I sent you a PM on here, read please!
