What's on your Menu Today (Wednesday) RNYers?
I am so sorry you still aren't feeling well!! SO FRUSTRATING!!
QOTD: Well, as you know, I have problems with dense protein still, and I really am not a huge turkey fan. So Thanksgiving, meh, whatever. lol Last year I had a little turkey with gravy an some pearled onions. And cheese, lots of cheese! LOL We always go to Hubby's cousin's house, it is the one time of year is teeny tiny family gets together.
18 + months since surgery
Same ol' same ol' protein drinks during the day
I am making pizza for the family, if I feel like it I will have a piece, with extra pepperoni for protein

You don't like Turkey? Did you not like it even as a pre op? Never met someone who is not a fan of turkey. Stumped me! LOL
I figured you being the Chef in Disguise (I say that cuz I know you are a full time Mom/Wife/Employee yet make amazing food everyday) that you would be the one cooking up a big TG dinner for family & friends!
Pizza sounds yummy. That is one of the foods I miss post op, not being able to dive into like 3-4 slices of extra cheese pizza. ENJOY!
Before surgery it was ok, not my favorite. I have NO IDEA why though. lol Maybe because my mother always made the worst turkey's.....so dry!
I would totally cook for everyone, and I normally do a big Thanksgiving dinner once a year....just not at Thanksgiving! lol
I learned of a recipe that uses shredded mozzarella cheese, egg, melted butter, and almond and coconut flours to make a pizza crust. Look up the website www.uplateanyway.com
It really turns out bready...it's bizzare and wonderful at the same time. I'll make regular pizza for my family, and make the mozz crust for myself. I don't make it often, but it's nice having an alternative. One pizza goes a loooong way if I'm the only one eating it. If my daughter comes home for a visit...the rest goes home with her. ( Poor college student is she...she LOVES any leftovers I send home with her. )
I woke up in between a memory and a dream...

Daisy, so sorry you're still ailing. I will keep you in my prayers for a quick recovery!
QOTD: Saralisa and I usually go to one of my brother's grown kids' houses for Thanksgiving. He has 8 kids and 13 grandkids so with the spouses, it's a large family gathering. I will eat the turkey, green beans, maybe a bite or two of mashed potatoes, a bit of corn and maybe a really small slice of pumpkin pie.
My menu for today:
Breakfast: crepe w/ peach, cream cheese, cool whip
Lunch: lettuce, spinach, tomato, chicken, cheese, low cal dressing
Dinner: hot dog & bun
Snack: Moon cheese
Snack: Light & Fit greek yogurt
Exercise: Walking the dogs
Have a FANTASTIC day everyone!

Thanks for the prayers Karen! I appreciate them! Glad you and Saralisa have family to spend the holidays with, that's wonderful! I love big family gatherings, hubby comes from a big family, me a small small family so its fun for me to hang out with big families!
May I make a suggestion on your menu today? For Dinner, ditch the bun and eat 1.5 hot dogs. You don't need the bun. Or even better, make it a chili dog, and put some shredded cheese on top of the chili, but no bun, empty carbs girl.
Have an awesome day, give the pups and extra snuggle from me!
Good Morning Daisy! I hope you can kick the nasty cold to the curb soon. Continued prayers being sent your way.

Thanks for the prayers Kelly, its appreciated! That's nice you get to host at your house. I love sweet potatoes, although I have a potato allergy I can eat sweet potatoes, I just never think to make them. Turkey is the best right!
This "Mikey's cinnamon raisin muffin" is this store bought or home made? It sounds yummy, I love cinnamon raisin anything.
White chocolate raspberry yogurt sounds amazing! You always have awesome food on your menus!
Love me some turkey!!
Mikey's are store bought...here is a link to their site https://mikeysmuffins.com/
I am loving the carbmaster yogurt variety. So glad Hillary had mentioned it.
