I allow my son to keep food in his room. He has Oreos or cheetos usually. I can't see that food in the kitchen and not eat it.

i have the same issue- yogurt, ice cream- My DH likes the yasso, skinny cow, etc. I have to make these ice creams very limited (like maybe once a week). there isn't a off switch so to say. evening and late afternoon is the worst for me

ive started eating meat as my last snack of the day instead of a slider yogurt.

So I'm hoping (and I may be horribly misguided) that my moderatley liberal approach toward carb intake in the losing phase will mean that my head won't go into a tailspin of confusion once I hit maintenance. Maybe beef up on vegetables??

Sweets will always be my nemesis. For each 'fail' (like the bag of fun size snickers that jumped into my cart this weekend) I have to force myself to acknowledge all the things I did pass up as part of the ongoing efffort to live well. Every decision wont be good- but weigh what it could have been (an entire box of ice cream eaten) vs. what it is (two eaten/box melted)-- you're doing it. You may not see it- but the scale does.

Keep doing it- -and prayerfully the consistent good decisions will keep outweighing the occasional poor choice.

Oh Cynthia, you speak the truth!!

Maintainence is HARD. It is a daily struggle. I just finished baking "low carb sugar free" chocolate chip cookies....ughhhh.

My son and family are coming next week so I will get to make lots of food I like but won't make just for myself. It is a good thing- I can eat 2 or 3 of the sugar free cookies... but then if the rest are left sitting there eventually I will eat them. If there is someone else to share them with and they get eaten it is a win!

Good morning! I am up early... commute every other weekend to Orcas Island off the coast of Washington and my ferry was cancelled last night... so I had to get the 0 dark thirty boat this morning.

QOTD: Love both. I am jealous of the pumpkin greek yogurt on menus. My grocery store is not yet carrying it. I may riot. And I am not sure what will happen at Thanksgiving, never had one without pumpkin pie.

B: pure protein banana cream shake

L: Dannon Light & Fit greek yogurt

D: 3 turkey meatballs with tomato sauce and mozz

S:  1/2 c. nf cottage cheese

It is very easy to make Pumpkin 'pie' sugarless and no crust. Can make it in ramekins as a custard.... but as anything the hard part is not over-indulging.

Nope.  He went to school on Friday, which I was not happy about, but everything was fine I guess.  His teacher moved my son's desk (not happy about that, either) and e-mailed us that Michael is to let her know immediately if anything happens.  My husband also doesn't want him riding the bus, but a) I don't like feeling like I'm being pushed around and b) I have no intention for paying for afterschool care.

The school's response is that they can't really comment or something until they receive further details from the Sheriff's department after they complete their investigation.  He's off today, so we'll see what tomorrow brings.
