im still having issues. thought having GB out would have solved it and it doesn't.

I'm on protonix once a day to not have issues. I have a call into my surgeon about it as I don't want to be on this long term.

I can go 3 day max without it and start to have issues especially at night.

I can't answer your question in a scientific manner, but I can speak from my experience.  I've had "heartburn" a few times since I've had surgery.  There were a couple times i just felt the acid issues and started back up on my prilosec, to make sure that the acid wasn't an issue.  I don't know HOW it happens, but I've felt it, so it happens, lol.

It 100% cured my acid reflux, from day 1 in hospital, my reflux was bad every night. I'm 8 months out, has not come back, some out here think it does come back, I sleep wonderful now and save a fortune not buying Nexium I used to take several a day, and the reflux would make me have to get out of bed at night.
