I look so much older

I think a lot of postops go through a stage where they look older or tired. I know three postops in real life, all of varying ages, and even the youngest in her twenties went through a phase where she looked haggard. It doesn't help that we envision a moment in our youth of what we will look like at a certain weight. In all three cases, btw, their color returned, and in some cases, their faces filled in a bit over time.

I personally think you look great, but I understand your concern.

Things even out for the first year after you're done losing weight. It's part of the price we pay for our morbid obesity.

Youlook much better than when you were carrying around that extra weight. And you'll look even better next year. And you'll look much, much, much, much better 10 years from now.

Ah but I was so much older then

I'm younger than that now

First 2 years Post op, when I lost all my excess weight and 14 more lbs I looks so much older. My face was so gaunt, pale...But as I regained some of the weight (5 lbs) , some of my extra skin got better,  and due to what we call " fat distribution"  my face looked better in year 3... Plus some botox and fillers (for my deepest lines)  also helped.

You are in a losing phase...for a while your skin will wrinkle more...the skin is dry, we don't eat as much fat..etc..

Ride it out... You can use some moisturizer for your face - or simply use organic coconut oil ...it may help soften the lines..It may feel and look better in time. But most skinny people have more wrinkles... And most fat people have less wrinkles - the use their fat as natural wrinkles filler...

When I regained 20 lbs - my face got much fuller...so was my body...now I lost the regain...and decided it is time for so e face lift. I know I would feel better about myself.

As Kim said - it is the body vs. The face... The skinnier I am - the better my body looks - the older - more sagging my face is..

I've noticed the same - especially in my neck. But on the plus side, I am healthier and I'm looking better for a woman of the age I appear to be now than I did as a morbidly obese woman that looked a little younger than her age... and I'm only halfway to goal.

Congratulations and I also think you look GREAT!
