Blisters in nose and mouth

My best friend just had RYN 2wks ago and has blisters in her nose and under her eyes has anyone had this experience

Sounds like an allergic reaction to something... she needs to go over everything she's eaten, new medications, creams, everything. Sounds painful! Poor thing :(

She is nausea's and hurting I feel sorry for her other than that she is doing good. thanks for the response

She is afraid I am going to change my mind about a revision but I have got my heart set on it.

I developed a yeast infection in my mouth and skin folds 3 days post op; never had anything like this before. Time to call the surgeon and/or PCP.

I haven't heard of this, either - it may or may not even be related to the surgery. I had hives three weeks after bypass, and at first we thought it might be the ursodiol so we stopped it, but when I started back up on it a week or two later, I had no reaction at all, so who knows what it was...

it could be a staph infection, bad news for so soon post op. She should see her surgeon ASAP

Thanks for all of the replies. Just found out it's Shingles. I feel so bad for her.

I am sorry to hear that. Anyone who is putting off the shingles shot needs to get one.

Poor thing. Now shingles! I know nausea though is common after surgery, i had my surgery 1 1/2 weeks ago and had nausea once, they gave me meds and i also took home a rx for them in case i needed them. Otherwise my revision from band to rny was a success! Worse pain is from my port removal... everyday is better and at first i did too much too fast and strained a bit, so my advice is to give your body some time to heal. I have lost about a lb a day. Good luck to you, and wish your friend well!
