Hello!

So, I am giving my current, spoiled tool another chance.

Will have a nutriologist app today, but I want to know, what vits and shakes do you take in the US; here in Chile, my former doc never really indicated anything beyond a multivitamin a day.Any input will be much appreciated!! :-)

I use the Bariatric Advantage multi-vitamins, their B-12, the Calcium Citrate and will be starting their Iron soon. Two multi-vitamins, two Calcium Citrate, 1 B-12 and 1 Iron every day. My favorite protein shakes so far are Premier. They taste the best and are not as thick, which makes it easier for me to get them down into my pouch without taking 3 hours to drink one.

The best vitamins for us are OPurity, sold by Unjury.  You do not need protein shakes.  You are able to get your protein from real food.  Protein shakes are an easy way to get calories in right after surgery when it is not possible to eat real protein.

Do you take the capsules or the chewables. They have a multi that is only once a day.  I am having surgery next month and I received some samples. I love their protein shakes and the chicken broth is divine.

I agree with White Dove's suggestion:  if you are going to be ordering products and looking for guidance online, I recommend the customer service found at www.unjury.com.  Another common source for product help is www.bariatricadvantage.com

I'm using the patch MD vitamin patches... I currently have the Multi and the Calcium/D3 patches.

I don't know how they are working, as I haven't had them long enough for another blood test, though many people here report good results. I switched to these because I was forever forgetting my vitamins! I also take a once daily iron, and a once monthly B12 shot.

I'll have to see next month what my numbers are and hope they are good, because I love just throwing a couple of patches on each morning!

My nutritionist warned us yesterday to stay away from the patches. FYI.
