Edited to congratulate pammieanne on her strength and to rephrase remarks on my part. I wish more exercise would be my chosen vice. Kinda close to exercise is when I start cleaning as a way to divert emotions. A tip once found on OH is to go ahead with the urge to shop online--just don't checkout items added to the bag. Count me out on any bloody mary party. You guys party. I'll stay home and clean.
The mental dialogue can be exhausting but you did great!! Daily dialogue.... It is much harder I am realizing now that I am in maintenance and at a normal weight to say 'no'.... But I was very proud of myself last night, I listened to my own advice and said no to a piece of my niece's birthday cake.... "you need to pick and choose, don't need to have cake every time there is a celebration..."
So march on! Yay You!!

It is good that you didn't do any of the things above. I think seeing your behavior is part of the battle. One day at a time. Don't look so far into the future it can be really overwhelming.
It is scary **** But you ate on plan. Be proud. Look at the good you have done.
Life after surgery is much better than before. There are obstacles we still have to overcome.
Having WLS has made me really take a good look at myself. I had no idea some of the bad habits I have.
