What's on your Tuesday menu, RNY'ers?

Calcium - how is your D?
Plus - a lot of people take calcium but unless they make sure the calcium they take had enough elemental calcium.
500mg calcium citrate is not 500 mg elemental calcium.
500mg elemental callcium from calcium citrate...
- Calcium carbonate (40 percent elemental calcium)
- Calcium citrate (21 percent elemental calcium)
- Calcium gluconate (9 percent elemental calcium)
- Calcium lactate (13 percent elemental calcium
The Supplement Facts label on calcium supplements is helpful in determining how much calcium is in one serving. As an example, calcium carbonate is 40 percent elemental calcium, so 1,250 milligrams (mg) of calcium carbonate contains 500 mg ofelemental calcium.
To build bones - we need not only calcium but also magnesium and vitamin K2. It is essential.

Good afternoon! Catwoman7, you look fantastic - congratulations! I can see why you're so excited about the photo! I read your post at 1:00 am, but was still finishing up yesterday's menu, so decided to wait until today to respond.
B: noatmeal - still very happy with this as a breakfast - it is tasty and filling, and rich in omega-3s and fibre.
L: dhal - a red lentil dish with garlic, turmeric and other spices (sometimes curry) and usually served over green beans or cauliflower. I often add a tsp of olive oil to smooth out the flavours, but already had good fats in the noatmeal this morning, so didn't need the extra calories. Lentils are rich in protein, iron, magnesium and fibre.
D: baked chicken leg (no room for veggies with this meal)
S: zuchinni, honeycrisp apple
JB, the sedentary/activity balance is a puzzle for me too. WhenI'm not working on the computer, I try to make sure I'm up and walking around every hour or so. Computer work takes me into a time warp, though, and it's often at least 3 hours of steady sitting before I realize how much time has passed without movement. The stand-up desk adaptor sounds like a possible solution.
Good afternoon Menu Buddies!
