What's on your Tuesday menu, RNY'ers?
First of all, congrats on the new job! Thats so exciting!
Happy 14-month Surgiversary!
What a cutie pie! He is super adorable! My boy is 2 years and 4 months and doesnt like to sit on the potty long enough to go. he requests to sit, but isnt patient enough. He's gone twice in last 3 months, and then never again.
Mine acted like he was going to try to start potty training earlier in the year and went a couple of times, but then had a setback. Kal will be 3 in November, and he's just now showing real interest in potty training. He's just easily distracted so I have to remind him over and over to sit on his potty chair.
He did very well out today in big boy underwear and sat on the potty at the library and peed. I think that now it's just getting him out of the habit of peeing in a diaper and being aware of how he's feeling.
You may want to try again in a few months I know my oldest didn't actually potty train until right after he turned 3, and each kid is different. It will do no good to push when they aren't ready. Good luck with the training, I can't wait to be done with diapers.

I usually mix the Syntrax Nectar fruit flavors with Crystal Light to punch up the flavor a bit. I always use CL lemonade - but some people match the CL flavor with the Syntrax flavor
Syntrax Nectar products are 100% protein whey isolate. The Syntrax Matrix line are protein blends
I usually mix the milky ones (e.g. chocolate truffle and cappuccino) with unsweetened almond or cashew milk. I sometimes make a double - one scoop of chocolate truffle and one scoop of cappuccino..). The chocolate truffle is great in plain yogurt, too (although I think you might have mentioned that). Also, PB2 and chocolate truffle - yum!
Good Morning All,
For the QOTD of sedentary jobs, mine is extremely sedentary. I try to literally get up and walk every hour. Usually to pee or grab a snack. We have good healthy snacks in our little mart, so I stopped packing and go there to buy something. Then at lunch I walk and I park as far away from my desk as I can and get some good walking on the way in and way back in the evening. Tonight I start prepping for my 5K so we are going running as soon as we get home.

B: Double Scoop Unjury Shake

Good morning and happy Tuesday. I haven't posted lately, but read every day. I need to get back into the habit of posting here, so here I am! Things have been going well. I had my 3 month post conversion visit last Thursday and my Dr. was pleased. My labs were great except for my parathyroid hormone, which was high. He said that may indicate that my body was trying to leech calcium from my bones (even though I take my supplements every day), so he's sending me for a Dexa scan and repeat lab work in November to test for free calcium. Other than that, he's fine with me bringing down my weight but wants to make sure I don't do it at the expense of my nutrition or muscle mass. He wants me to share my food log with him and his dietitian until my next follow up in December. I'll save my photos for photo friday (if I can get the picture to load, which i**** or miss for me), but I ran a 10k up at Dodger Stadium with my surgeon on Sunday. It was awesome! It was amazing getting to know him as a person and not just as the guy in scrubs or the white coat. Although I did ask him to run in scrubs since I was concerned I wouldn't recognize him in workout clothes! Of course, that's kind of what happened when, before the race we were on the phone with each other and he was literally standing next to me and I didn't realize it until he grabbed my arm. I can be such a dork sometimes! He said it was the first time he'd ever run with a patient and that it was inspiring to him. It was equally inspiring to me, since I truly believe my ability to run at all is a direct result of his skill as a Dr. He fit in well with my friends and it was a good day all around.
Here's my plan:
B: 2.89 oz deli sliced roast beef
L: Leftover NY Strip steak (3.1 oz) and edamame if I get off my butt and go across the street to buy said edamame
D: Pork Chop
S: Sliced Turkey, somersaults, almonds and skinny vanilla latte. My surgeon gave me the all clear on Sunday for caffeine, but today is decaf.
Totals: Cal: 969; Protein: 101g; Fat:36g; Carbs: 54g (ugh, high so something's got to give. Bye bye edamame!)
Oh, your 10K sounds awesome! I can't wait for the pics!
Also? I thought of you this morning when I weighed out my cheese. LMAO There was a little hunk left in the bag that weighed 1.7 oz. I managed to cut myself off a piece that weighed exactly 1 oz. Boom!
