What's on your Tuesday menu, RNY'ers?
Amazon has lightweight, portable variable-height laptop stands - some with mouse pad extension shelves - for under $75. You can use them on a table or desk or even a coffee/side table if that's the only available surface. You wouldn't get many more steps, but at least you'd be standing, and better able to move a bit in the brief pauses between note-taking.
Hope you find a workable solution!
Drink more water and pick a bathroom far away fro your office..or on a different floor...

You look fabulous. I'm still 40 pounds from goal, but I am still messed up about how my body looks and how I think I look. Anyway, great job.
so Qotd: As JB said, it's easy to get sedentary at work. What do you do when you want to be more active? Not necessarily exercise, but just more active. I'm trying to get my 10,000 steps in, so I've been walking to work (1/2 mile) and using the far away bathroom.

S almonds, veggies, turkey stick, light and fit yogurt

I'm gaining weight this week! Started off at 183.6 on Sunday, 184.6 on Monday, and this morning... 185.6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know if my body is truly just in shock because I really wasn't in any shape for that 5K, yet I really pushed myself, and I've been truly sore (today it better though), and maybe my body is retaining water??!
I talked to myself (and my husband hahaha) and told myself this is just part of the journey, but this is hard to watch those numbers go back up. I know last night I went higher on my carbs (damn Trader Joe's opened, and I bought this bacon jam... bad girl!!), but I don't think they are awful numbers???
Any suggestions??? Water intake is good, no alcohol, nothing really truly bad!
So anyway... onward and hopefully not upward anymore!!!

So Pammie - surgery buddy - I've been watching your progress since we had surgery the same day. And let me tell you I've been jelly at the rate you've lost weight. I've had two stalls and they suck. But if you look at our stats, they're not that much different. I guess what I'm saying is just to wait this out. My scale was up a pound today and my food has been good. I just say whatever now and weigh again the next day.

We are very close in numbers, and if you've had stalls, then I guess it's just my turn to do it. And part of my brain knows this... but the other part of my brain is really being a pain in the ass.
And then, OF COURSE, Hubby has to throw in his .02 and tell me it's because I'm not exercising... Well if HE was the one working two jobs, cooking dinner every night, trying to spend some time with my kids, and generally just going going going, maybe I'D be the one with extra time! (and yes, I do need to figure out more exercise time, but I just can't right now... real estate will slow in the coming months, and I'll figure it out then) VENT OVER.
We both have this! And we'll both make it to goal!!! (and I really wanted a cheerleader emoticon here!)

Pammie,I just wanted to add that I ate 6 fried pickle slices last night at a restaurant and counted them in my calories. The sodium must have been super high because I was up 2.5 pounds this morning. I'm going to drink enough to float a boat today to flush that crap out haha.
