Does is feel like restriction pain? Does the quantity or type of food make a difference? Is there pain right after the first bites? Dense foods like meat seem to sit harder than slider foods like cottage cheese or doesn't it seem to matter? Could it be you have a smaller-than-average pouch? Could it be you developed a lactose intolerance--dairy products seem worse? WLSers with an ulcer say the pain is like a gnawing pain. WLSers with a stricture say they eventually can't even keep liquids down. Maybe you can do a search on this website for both ulcer and stricture to see if either sounds possible. Both require medical attention.
I had those symptoms in the first year...as we founfbout not only my GAllbladder stoped working - but I also had hernia that my intestines were trapped into ...(twisted) . Pain and belching may also indicate constipation. Even when I have daily BM sometimes it is not "complete" and after a few days of that - there is too much for my body to handle. Gas can't go out one way - it is going to go out the other way.. Been there ...trapped gas in small intestine can cause excruciating pain....
