Blasted Scale
I weigh every morning before my shower, but my official weigh-in day is Friday. I was so happy the last couple of days because it was reading 189. Wouldn't you know it - today it was back up to 190. Still an "official" 2 pound lost from last week. I know it's just a number and I can easily fluctuate a pound or two each day. BUT, it sure plays with your head. Good news is I'm wearing a pair of my old size 16 slacks today and they are not even snug. Haven't worn them in 3 or 4 years. Gotta keep myself positive on this rainy, gloomy day!

I am a daily weigher as well.... hard not to sweat the small stuff. I also only record once a week. I have felt it is important for my accountability to myself. If the scale is going in the wrong direction, I am not putting my head in the sand...and can adjust.

If you can make up a graph of your loss over time, that'll help keep your encouraged through the hiccups. Seeing that your long-term trend is a loooong slow march downward helps me a lot!

I second what Julie said.
Do you have a Fitbit? If you do, check out Trendweight.com It imports weights from Fitbit (which in turn can get them from MyFitnessPal), and gives you a nice graph of your weightloss. But the really cool thing is, it averages out the little anomalies in your loss, and extrapolates to show you future loss if you stay on track, and even the date you will hit your goal weight.
