Update 2 weeks out
I went to the Nut yesterday and I can finally eat. My new diet seems very different from most. I can eat 3 Oz of either ground chicken, turkey or ground beef for each meal. 21 G protein per meal (3 Oz is alot of food). I can also have tuna or 1 egg with 2 egg whites with 1/4 cup cheese. If I can't eat the 21g protein per meal I substitute with a shake. I do this for 5 weeks. I left her office and went right to the store and bought a rotisserie chicken. Best thing I've ever had. It will last me days. I could only eat 1 oz and was full so I stopped.
Good to be back with the eating folks again

That is a LOT of food for two weeks out!! So take it slow and do the best you can without hurting yourself, Yikes!
I can only just now eat MAYBE 3 oz of meat and I am almost 18 months out. Granted I do have some issues with meat, but still.
Even if you measure 3oz, stop when you are full. Really at 2 weeks and ounce to once and a half...is usually all you can do, esp. of meat. I never pureed (Yuk!) anything,,,, just cut things up really small, even if they weren't 'ground' meat. My diet progressed pretty fast- I was on full-except salad- forever food by week 4.
Better in my book to eat 5-6x a day than try and shove 3oz in 3x a day.... pain wise, and you don't want to get used to eating large amounts at one time.
I drank a protein shake daily while losing weight. Doesn't have to be one or the other- although obviously not at the same time. Take it slow, chew well and make sure everything is moist.... transition to meats can be hard.

Wow that is a lot of food. I was given the eat 1/4-1/2 cup rule and cannot get 1/2 cup in. An ounce is really my limit. And meat is still a no-go for me. I also don't puree anymore, just chew the heck out of it.
so glad you are past the blended stage ;).
