What's on Your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?

I make things that work for everyone with modifications for my serving.  If I make spaghetti for example I make sure the meat is lean and well drained, I pick a sauce that is low in sugars (they vary way more than you would think...I've spent many long minutes reading every jar of sauce in the aisle), and where I previously would have made garlic bread but now I just don't even buy any. They don't seem to miss it. Then I fix my Guy his plate, his mountain really, and then I get out my small bowl and measure out the sauce with meat and add in a small portion of noodles if I have planned for noodles that day. My surgeon's post surgery eating 'plan' is "Just eat off of small plates and your calories will be fine." LOL I actually track more than that but as long as I stick with my little bowls and plates I rarely have any trouble with over eating or feeling overly full.

Best wishes to you!

Small plates wouldn't slow me down. I can stack anything a mile high. My plate would look like a teenager's trash barrel when they don't want to empty it.

Honestly, a lot of times I eat something other than what I've prepared for them. It's just easier that way.

Morning gang! I've got a small head cold creeping it way into my system- blah! I love the heart rate monitor feature on my watch- I can tell the cold is causing my heart rate to run higher than normal.

I've been trying to figure a way to get my running in while it still day light, since the days are growing shorter. Yesterday I got home, popped a chicken in the oven and went for my run while it cooked. Worked out well- soon as I got back the chicken was done, and I threw the sides together and we ate by like 7:15. I know eventually it'll be dark as I'm leaving work-- but I'm trying to juice all I can from the daylight hours.

I've got a QOTD: Whats your most hated household chore? For me it mopping floors-- if ya'll ever come visit me- don't eat off my floors LOL. I can deal with anything else, scrubbing toilets, vacuuming, dusting, laundry, yard work- but the mop is my worst enemy!

Time since surgery: 18 months TODAY!!!

Weight today: 196.4

M1: 2 scrambled eggs, 2oz ham, 1 slice cornbread. (I threw away the rest of the cornbread-- while I've been surprisingly controlled in eating it-- it just not necessary)

M2: apple

M3: Chili-8oz measure in the concatiner, so I figure is about 7oz

M4: roasted chicken breast leftovers

QOTD:  I hate most of the household chores, but I'd have to say my least favorite is laundry.  Mostly because it's a three step process and it's never completely done.  NEVER.

I love doing laundry!  It is so calming. Windows are not for me...and dusting. Nope.

Agreed! I have never minded laundry. Except when the children throw stuff back in to be washed, when they never actually wore it.

I have installed more windows than I have cleaned.

Dusting? I have no carpets, just hardwood floors. I open my front door and use a battery powered leaf blower to get the dust from inside to outside. For anyone who thinks I am kidding, I assure you, I am not.
