I am the first to say I suck when it comes to exercise. I don't do it. I did make an attempt early on after the surgery but had a bad experience at my local Y (which is a stupid reason not to go back and I know it). I have an under the desk elliptical that I use but I know that's not really exercise.

All that to say - I don't exercise. I'm 18 months out so not a vet by a long shot. But I fully believe it's possible.

If any of you are interested, I highly recommend the 21 Day fix- 30 minutes a day in the comfort of your living room- just ignore the Shakeology- not worth the price in my opinion. My cousin is a coach for them and she uses facebook groups to motivate. 

Having said all that, I should be doing the workouts, but I'm modifying the modifier all the time and got discouraged. Haven't been able to shake that feeling...  I weigh more right now than I ever have in my life and I hate this.

Lol. No unfortunately most beachbody coaches will constantly extol the virtues of Shakeologu. And their workout plan of course. :)

 

and i I agree wholeheartedly with another comment - you can't outrun or out exercise your fork. It's in the kitchen where you maker break your weight loss success.

I do 21-day-fix for almost a year, and have tried several other beach body videos. I'm all about the 30 minutes and done....

Exercise meh... When I work out I get hungry - I eat more. 

I exercise (mostly walk  or yoga) to get better muscles and improve circulation.

I got to goal (again) and now i can afford to gain a few lbs... 

but during this last 8 years- I often did just  the following: 

  • we have a 2-story house so I do climb the stairs 5-10 times a day, or more.
  • When I park the car- I seldom look for a "close spot" I often pick a spot farther out..
  • i go "shopping" as a form of "retail therapy"  
  • often chase the cat inside the house - it is a play she loves... running between rooms, upstairs, hiding ...
  • taking care of cats - cleaning after them...
  • house cleaning....house work..(this last Saturday I had 14 flights of stairs 9000 step just working inside and outside the house)
  • yard work (limited - I hate it)
  • after my back surgery I had to walk at least 2 miles every day for 3 months..

now - I started walking outside again - it is cool enough...app 3 miles, 3 times a week...

I love yoga - but  not sure when I start.. (I am too lazy)
