Good morning everyone,
Qotd: Tracking my food on myfitnesspal is the most helpful thing for me. Sometimes I'll go in at the end of the day and put in my food and I'm like holy ****! I ate that much? Making a plan every morning shows me clearly what I can and can't eat.

Yes tracking on MFP is so key, I don't think most people have any clue how much they eat in calories!!!! I have a few family members how want to lose weight and I told them to start using MFP and they said it was eye opening at how much they ate.
And like you said making a plan every morning shows what we can and can't eat. Turkey Chilli sounds wonderful, I love chilli, might have to try mine with turkey instead of ground beef.

Hi Everyone!
Daisy, your dogs are beautiful! I am such a dog person... and labs are in my
QOTD: I LOVE this board. I have learned so much (and so much that backs up my thoughts on low carbing as well, I've always been a proponent of LC, and ya'll just seal the deal for me on that one!). Measure/weigh your food. Don't look for that 'full' feeling, especially at only 2 weeks out! Don't take things personally here. Sometimes in text, it's hard to read emotion into a post... if you get pissy, folks will get pissy back atcha!
B: 1.5oz steak and 2 grilled shrimp
S: Premier Protein Vanilla
L: 2oz steak 1 grilled shrimp
D: TBD - but protein forward!

Thanks Pammie!! I wish I had tons of land I would own a Labrador Sanctuary or something LOL They are pretty fun and keep me happy!
Great answer! The board is awesome I must say and glad you are part of our menu family. Weigh & measure... YES! I still do at 3 years out! I have a cheap Walmart scale that I got for $10 I think that I keep at home and I am going to get one for work because for the days when I don't pack a lunch I want to know how much chicken I am eating LOL
Even 3 years out I don't look for the full feeling. I eat what I have measured out on my plate. End of story. And what I do is if I still "feel" hungry after I have eaten (and I am sure its a "my eyes are bigger than my stomach deal") I wait my 30 minutes post meal and then I force myself to drink something, usually its a coffee and it so far works every-time that I am not actually hungry.
And yes yes yes to don't take things personally here. You can't read tone and emotion in an online thread. Its unfortunate that we lose members because they get butt hurt over a comment or two, but its their life and they need to lead it.
I see you have steak & shrimp on your menu, must be leftovers! YUMMMMMMM
keep up the great work... 185.6 is awesome!

Thanks! Yes, leftovers... I cooked up 10 huge shrimp and two big steaks last night... Hubby was out of town, so just me and the teens. I have 4 packets of leftovers! Yum! (oh, and maybe we didn't tell hubs what we ate... hahaha!)

Ok typing quick today- lots of meeting and getting a weee bit stressed. :)
must take deep breaths!
QOTD: Listen to the vets and take what your Dr says with a grain of salt. For example, mine told me it was ok to poop every 3 days when I know that does not work for me, so I take miralax. the nutritional guidelines also tell me i can have cream of wheat and stuff like that early on, the vets straightened me out early on and I'm glad I listened to them because it has helped my weight loss. I also believe I was eating too much early on and the wrong things. Coming here every day is vital to me to keep on track. Some get their feelings hurt when someone questions their calories and menu but I welcome the questioning.
Love that pic Daisy!!!

Going back to work after being off is quite stressful, good luck, deep breaths and step out into the sunshine today for a mini break if you can!
Great answer Super! It makes me sad & angry that we get suck crappy advice from our WLS Centres (not all, I understand some are great, mine like your is not). I got the exact same advice as you, its okay to go 3-4 days without pooping (NOT!!!) and to eat oatmeal and cream of wheat a few weeks post op!!! Yes being here on the Menu thread has taught me so much, thanks for being a part of our menu family!
Its too bad people get their feelings hurt when we question their calories or food choices, hopefully at some point they will see/understand that it comes from a place of caring and support and that fact that we have walked the road they are starting on.
Glad you are off the pain meds, although they work they are crappy things to be on long term. Fingers crossed you get the go ahead for exercise soon! Keep us posted on the liver bioop okay!
OMG sloppy joes!! I LOVE them. I am putting that on my grocery list for this weekend! Thanks for the idea steal!
