Completely Overwhelmed by Vitamins and medicines
Do you have a pill pack? I have one, the biggest I could find. It's got four places for each day of the week. I actually take something five times a day, but I put my last two in the same window. I eat four times a day, so that's my cue to be taking something, and the last is at bedtime. I just pack it on Saturday night for the week. We are all on different things but here's how mine works out.
Breakfast- 1 multi with b12, omeprazole
Lunch- calcium, b1
snack- multi with b12, biotin
Dinner- calcium, and I have a vit d here once a week
bedtime- calcium

GW- 175
Awww first hope the healing is going well.
Sip your water, breathe fresh air, get as much protein in as you can, and walk as much as you are able... and then just aim for a little better each day.
IMHO we make vitamins a lot harder than they need to be... just don't take calcium with anything else... after that as long as they get in your body each day... is spreading them out better... sure... but you will find a system that works for you when your head is clear of drugs and hopefully you lose some of you prescriptions (I was on 8 and post op none so I hope that for you)
P.S. I have dumped less than 10 times in 10 years it's not that big of an issue... now it's not pleasant but it's also not the end of the world.
Hope that helps calm you a bit. It is overwhelming in the beginning but do the best you can that day. It will become simply part of your life soon enough.
Best,
This whole vitamin issue is odd. I bought different calcium chews after quite a few people said it needs to be the citrate kind. But then my surgeons nurse said no, any kind of calcium works. Leaves a girl wondering which advice to take, I tell you
I think whoever posted above, get more than one piece of advice... may be right!
In any case I figure I am so far ahead of the game financially. If all else fails I can live on a can of refried beans a day for the rest of my life.

I use an app on my phone called Medisafe. It was free and you enter in all the meds you need to take for whatever day/time. The reminder alarms go off even if the volume is off on your phone, which I appreciate b/ c I seem to always have my ringer off. The alarm will sound every few minutes until you press the "take" button, or you can press snooze and it will go a little longer in between the reminder.
