What is on your Tuesday Menu RNYers?
Thanks, Daze! I'm LIVING on deli meats right now. Breakfast and Lunch or breakfast and snack. I do eat hummus, i spread a bit on my deli meat and make roll ups since I can't do cheese. I usually do chicken, shrimp or steak for dinner. I'm doing a modified version of AMAW, just with a bit of veggie thrown in. It's working and I'm eating ok, it's just nothing sounds good right now.
Tonight should be great, except I'm SOOOO busy at work that I feel bad cutting out early. I'm also coming in late tomorrow (I need to have labwork done for my follow up next thursday) and leaving early on Friday (Dodgers game and Vin Scully Appreciation Night) So the guilties are getting to me!
I don't know if you can do ham, but deli ham was my earliest friend. Or a nice spiral ham. You could aim for my record of 9 days of nothing but ham.
Tenderloin was really good too, and lean, which might be good for you.
We can be online meat buddies.

FYI: looks like you have a finicky pouch and gut...
when I need some calories - and food - peanuts -the one with no sugar or other additives - like the Costco peanuts - are great to munch on - they actually will settle my pouch - help with nausea. They have fat and protein and some carbs. They work better for me than roasted almonds.
my gut does not tolerate veggies - especially raw -but I can eat peeled cucumber, skin free tomato, avocado, and NSA pickles.. (Bubbies brand -WF, or world market - german or russian spicy pickles..).
cooked veggies - carrots and well cooked green beans...Sweet potato - some of it. I love sweet potatoe fries - but can only eat 5-6. Adding butter to steamed veggies - makes them easier to digest for me.
if nothing else- homemade egg drop soup - with some dill and .. butter and real lemon juice..settles the gut and provided proteins..

It's odd. I'm not having trouble getting food and calories in. It's just certain foods. As I've discussed before, yogurt, cheese, other dairy products are, at this point a no go. Bacon is a no. Those are the big categories. I can eat all kinds of veggies, so far, without issue. All kinds of meats, other than bacon, seem to be fine. Quinoa is a no. At three months post revision, it's all still trial and error!
