What's on your Saturday menu, RNY'ers?
Sorry to jump in here, but I'm about to head out the door for the day. This has become such a habit I can't imagine leaving without checking in here first!!
we're headed off to Milwaukee for some architecture thing my husband has been talking about forever. I have no idea what we'll be eating, so I'm taking a couple of protein bars *just in case*!
QOTD: if you have pets, what are their names? We have six cats: Ruthie, Pamuk, Aytekin, Minik, Anubis, and Kardelen
15 months out:
B: Greek yogurt, aronia berries, blueberries
S: protein shake
the rest: no clue yet!!
Morning breakfast crew!
now I understand your username catwoman! I love cats, but my husband has the annoying habit of not being able to breath around them...
i have one basset, Charlie. He's nearly 11.
im on day two of purees, and to be honest, I'm struggling with a bit of anxiety over my food choices being my responsibility again. As restrictive as preop and liquids are, they were also quite liberating. But this is the next step, so on we go!
today will be mostly protein shakes and a couple of spoons of lentil soup. I'm being extra conscious these first days to make sure I can differentiate whether it's the food item or the quantity that I would react to.
have a great weekend everyone!
Wow, 6!
We have three geriatric cats. 14 years ago we found a pregnant stray momma cat. She had her litter of four in my living room. We found homes for two and kept two. They are getting old but all still with us. Momma is named Maggie, and the other two are Britches and Dinah. And we have a dog, a Catahoula mix, named Jesse.
Breakfast...I still haven't had it-. Caramel Latte shake I guess. I'm not in love with that flavor. I'm mostly trying to get rid of it.
Lunch- hash and an egg
snack- hummus and a cheese stick
Dinner- I'm taking my son to chickfila. Debating on trying their chicken salad. Is it pretty soft? Otherwise I might just get a sugar free lemonade and eat at home.

Morning! Now I understand your username cat woman :-) I've been to the gym and just left the post office. I had my dietitian appointment too. I was expecting her to weigh me, take measurements etc, but nope. We just chatted. She was so happy for my success, told me I don't look anything near what I weigh. (I won't let that mess with my head). She likes my goal weight and said I can re-evaluate when I reach it if I want. She wants me to increase to 1200 calories (I do 1000). I smiled and nodded. She also wants me to aim at getting in some protein post workout. She described me as "active"... who-- me???? I went over a typical days meal, and she was pleased, and said she wouldn't change a thing other than adding some calories. Overall I think she felt she couldn't offer me anything different, but it was nice to chat to see overall I'm in a good path. She does work with BariatricPal patients post op, but apparently mostly deals with the complications, so she was happy to hear a good story.
Heading to Kohl's in a bit to get some leggings and long sleeve tops (prepping for fall).
