Two goals and a NSV
I met two goals this week. I dropped to 150 pounds and I easily got into a size 12 pair of blue jeans! I also ordered myself a new winter coat as the ones I have had are WAY too big even though I could not fit into them at all last fall and had to rely simply many layers of clothing to go outside. I'm just amazed still at the changes in my body in the last year. My hubby was chuckling at me yesterday when the temps here dropped into the upper 60s and I was putting on a sweater and socks. I haven't felt the cold for decades. It's kind of neat. It's also nice that the smaller clothes cost less money. And I'm realizing that I can drag out my sewing machine and actually make myself clothing again and it will fit!
My dress manikin will need to be replaced, however, as Bertha (as she was nicknamed by my kids) is now too big and will not adjust any smaller. For several years, my body was too big for poor Bertha and she was relegated to the attic. Now, I think it's time to sell her and buy some fabric.
Oh! I also caught myself RUNNING up the stairs yesterday. I mean, actually bounding right up them. This is a huge NSV that I just had never imagined could happen again.
Bounding up the stairs... isn't that just most awesome??!
I'm sure Bertha will go to a good home where she will be loved and used! Time to buy Skinny Mini!
You've done a splendid job, you should be proud!
Yesterday I went and bought new bras for the girls... even though I still have a lot to lose, the girls were desperate for some support. I went to Soma and picked up 2 new really pretty bras. I was most pleased that they are 36DDD... OK, maybe not the DDD part... but the 36 part made me smile big!

Congrats on the new bras. My husband was worried when I told him it was time to get new ones (and I also love the SOMA brand), but I pointed out that the girls would be perkier with better support. He had to agree it was an improvement once he saw me in one. It's so different to "fall out" of a bra when you are too big and then to "fall through" a bra when it's too big, lol.
I LOVE Soma! Waiting to lose some weight before I buy any new bras, but it is high on my list of fun shopping trips, and maybe some of the other wonderful things they sell... Like cute panties! Never had any.
Yay for bounding!
Be careful with winter coats. It's likely that whatever you buy for this winter won't fit next winter.

In 1984, my first pregnancy had me in tears telling my DH clothing stores don't carry maternity clothes in my size. At 6'5" tall, he learned how to sew in high school, understood my plight, and offered to help. I picked out a Simplicity Easy-to-Sew dress pattern, lightweight cotton fabric, and watched him lay out the pattern that took up the entire kitchen floor. I wore that dress until it was thread-bare. Hats off to sewers and the lucky spouses married to one.
