The day has finally arrived!
tomorrow is the beginning of a long anticipated journey. I shall have the tool(s) for a healthier, happier life and the strong desire to make it happen!!! I've been on the liquid diet for 3 weeks! I've lost 22 pounds and let me tell you, my willpower was challenged several times. I was going to the gym every second day however this week, I decided to take long walks near water to make peace with my failed attempts of weight loss and accept WLS as the rewarding challenge I know it will be. For those of you working towards this day, be patient and kind to yourself. I am a believer in things happen for a reason. We are faced with challenges everyday and it's the manner in which you choose to respond that will lead you to success. These past 3 weeks of only 5 protein shakes a day were difficult. Very difficult. I chewed gum a lot, especially when watching coworkers and family eat at the table. I managed to bake muffins and cookies for my kids and savoury meals for my family. I made healthier choices with ingredients, replaced or omitted some foods and you know what? They loved it!!! This next month of limited diet will be a breeze compared to these last 3 weeks. For those of you at the beginning of this journey, do what the dieticians tell you to do!! Start eliminating the bad food now or replace with a healthier option. And, yes, there are options to everything, most importantly the option of living a healthy life!!! All the best to all you who are pursuing WLS and to those on the other side? Make some room, I'm coming over!!!
PS could someone please explain how to update my weight on the ticker?

Congrats! I wish you the best for your surgery, recovery and your journey!
You can update your ticker by updating your weight. At the top right of your screen you will see 4 icons. Click on the one that looks like a graph. Update your weight there and click save, and your ticker should update as well.
The other icons are for writing blogs, adding goals and uploading photos.
Good luck! I am also on day 6 and so glad for this decision! I have absolutely no craving for food, even with my partner making pizza, toasting croissants, although once when she was cooking some garlic I had a huge craving for pepper
Wishes for a speedy and uneventful recovery.
