17+ months since surgery
So I am in need of a brain reset, and as you all may know the 5 day meat challenge would kill me, so I am doing shakes shakes shakes etc and a good dinner!
I actually just ate my lunch for breakfast because it looked so good I couldn't wait and managed to not get ANY raspberry jelly on my pants. Winning!
I will say, though, that if there is tomato sauce anywhere in a 1/2 mile radius it will end up on my clothes. Errry time.
Good morning, happy Friday eve! QOTD: my computer and desk, my tervis tumbler of water, phone...BORING. Leaving here at noon also--we have our annual fundraising dinner for transitional housing for female addicts. Super excited to see how much money we raise for these ladies to deal w/addiction, plus to grow our program. We have a long waiting list because the drug problem is SO real in our area.

Good morning! I start my new job on Monday and I really don't feel like "working" but I have a **** ton to do. Anyway, I'm dying to exercise but I don't get to start until tomorrow. Damn coach wanting my body to "rest". ok, so I'm going to go on a mini rant. Please skip to menu you if don't want to read me ***** about an Ironman related problem....
OK, so almost all American Ironman races give competitors 17 hours to complete the 140.6 miles. There is only one I knew of that gave less. That is IMLOU which I signed up for on Monday. When I signed up I knew that I would have a maximum of 16.5 hours to complete the race (due to sunrise being so late in Louisville in October). In the past they started letting athletes in the water at 7:30am. It's a rolling start so someone jumps in every few seconds. Usually the last athlete hits the water at 8:10am which gives that person 15hrs and 50 min to complete the race (midnight). Now regardless of when you jump in the water you only have 16 hours. So I jump in at 7:45 and my midnight becomes 11:45. Yes, I know I'm being stupid but I am pissed. They changed the rules 4 weeks from the race. Would I not have signed up if I knew it was only going to be 16 hours? No. I want this too bad. Am I annoyed that I know need to have a problem free race (virtually impossible in Ironman), very much so... Oh well, I guess I just go kill this **** cause I have no other choice....
END RANT!
