Question - 5 days post-op
I usually get 7 liters every day. I feel like total crap if I get as low as 3 liters.
Google orthostatic hypotention. It's very common in the first year. You seem to be a likely candidate.

Hey there... Surgery buddy! Day 5 for us. I had a call with my surgeon's nurse yesterday... I am not getting enough protein but she said just what Grim said. 64 ounces of liquid (water, jello) minimum is the absolute top priority. She said if I feel full cut down on food but make sure to get the water in.
My surgeon does not count the protein drinks or broth, because they are not hydrating. I am under orders to get st least 64 ounces of liquid. That can be water (recommended) or a combination of water, jello, decaf tea, flavored waters. I have been sticking to jus****er and a bit of jello for diversity. It is difficult!
I am having a terrible time with the protein drinks... Loved the premier protein before surgery but they are just way too sweet now. I had some of the Dannon light and fit greek yogurt this morning with a scoop of unflavored protein powder, and it was a good choice. Already have 33 grams of protein!
going to try cottage cheese tonight. What are you getting by on? Are you on blended yet?
