Question - 5 days post-op
I feel great however last night, I was a bit dizzy. I am doing approximately 60 grams of protein and for water about 1000 ml. I vitamins are good as well. Can someone get dizzy by being too full? I left a call with my centre to call me back. I am still on full fluid. I will transition on puree this weekend.
You should ask your doctor about this. It's not uncommon for people to have lower blood pressure post-op and, if taking meds to lower BP from pre-op, this can cause blood pressure to be too low.
DO NOT stop taking your medication - but ask your doctor about it.

I'm new too!! A liter(1000ml) of water is about 1 quart. I'm expected to get in 2 qts of liquids. 64 oz.
Not sure how much fluid you are getting in with shakes and full liquids.
I felt crappy yesterday and my tongue looked dry so I did 64 oz plus, less puree and shakes than I should have. Much better today, so I'm back to the "plan".
Be sure to listen to the directions of your Centre first and foremost.
Not enough fluid. Not enough by far. 2,000 would be better. 3,000 is good.
Food and calories have nothing to do with dizzy. We carry plenty of extra calories around on us.
