What's On Your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
Good morning! Gorgeous sunny day here too, AV - enjoy you enjoy your lunchtime wallk.
QOTD: I pump my own gas and refill windshield washer fluid, and that's about it. My car is 15 years old, so I have an Auto club membership for roadside emergencies, and get my maintenance done at a local service station.
B: ham
L: salmon and strawberries
D: roast beef
S: cheese stick, zucchini
Cal-826, carb-31, protein-103
I'm keeping calories and carbs low, and the protein and liquids high these days, so hope to see changes on the scale over the next few weeks. The extra walking should help too.
Edited for typos.
Morning AV. I know you were looking forward to going to bed early, but it sounds like your nighted ended more pleasantly than you hoped
My food day was better yesterday, and I plan on a better day today as well. Each day, getting better, plus most of the **** food is out of my house (meaning I've eaten it all) so my days will be getting better.
As for your question of the day, I used to be handy. Years ago, I have changed tires, even swapped out a fuel pump and tie rods. I haven't done anything like that in decades, and with the new fangled cars, I don't know where to start. I can change a tail light and a headlight (though the last time I had to I wasn't physically strong enough to get the headlight out and had to get a co-worker to help me) I can do stuff, and I'm willing to try if I need to. But outside of car repair, something I just recently started doing was cutting my family's hair. Both my hubby and my oldest always just get clipper cuts when they go to the barber. Once I got my hair cut recently, I decided to get a decent pair of clippers so I can keep my hair in order without spending a fortune at the salon every 4 to 6 weeks. I also started cutting my family's hair. In the last two weeks I've saved the family around $200 by doing it myself. I did kinda hack the baby's hair a bit, but I learned my lesson and won't shave him on top again.

I like this menu today and feel good that I can stick to it. Hoorah!
My husband begs me to cut his hair, but I refuse. LOL As a retired Marine he is SUPER picky about his haircut. He's probably been to every barber in a 30 mile radius and he has an issue with every single one. And he wants me to do it? No thanks. I do clipper cut my Dad's hair, though, every time I visit. He doesn't care quite so much. LOL
Kal's hair doesn't look horrible, but I prefer it longer on top. My hubby keeps his at a #1 guard, so it's easy enough. My oldest likes a 4 on top and a 2 on the sides. It's easy peasy. My hubby shaved my sides the other day since they were getting shaggy. I'll have to go to the salon occasionally to get the long part trimmed, but maybe once ever 6 months or so, instead of every 4 to 6 weeks.
My ex husband decided to clip my sons hair when he was about 4yo... the guard apparently wasn't working right (for him, nothing works right hahaha!), so he took it off...
When he was done my son looked AWFUL... like so awful people would give me sad looks in public, and even had a lady let us go in line in front of her... People thought my son had cancer! My son now likes his hair LONG... I blame it all on the Ex

My oldest has super thick hair. When he was about 6, my mom had him for the weekend and decided to cut his hair with the clippers. But her clippers were old and dull and pulled at his hair (not sure if anyone has ever had this happen, but it's super painful). He fought the whole time. She sent him home with chunks cut out of his hair. I, for real, had to pin him down while he screamed and cried, to fix it. I tease her about it now, and she knows that she's never allowed to touch my kids hair again.
Hey, mine has that super thick hair too! I wonder if that's the issue... nah, I'd rather blame it on the ex!
