What's On Your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
Rainy out here in Wisconsin today. Sounds like you guys now have the great weather we had for a few days! The rain will be followed by cooler temps (70-ish), which I'm really looking forward to!
QOTD: I can change tires, put in new batteries, replace air filters. That's about it. I'm much better with electronics (I used to work in IT). Sorry to hear about the car problem yesterday - that is SO annoying!!
B: Greek yogurt, strawberries, aronia berries (I'll be glad when these damn things are gone - not crazy about them)
S: double protein shake, coffee w/ half and half
L: small salad, 1/2 C of cottage cheese
D: pulled pork, coleslaw (I have about 2 T of coleslaw left....)
exercise: none - did TRX and water aerobics yesterday, though. Need to get some other things done tonight...
I'm not doing well in the eating department since getting back from vacation, and my birthday coming up... I'm going to change that for the rest of the week....
Funny story about cars and repairs. A few years back, I decided I needed a car- we've always been a 1 vehicle family. Ended up with an older Oldsmobile Intrigue but the mileage was low. One day the oil light came on, so I told my hubby, and he did nothing. 3 days later I decided to add some oil myself. I had just come back from having lunch with my then 8 year old for his birthday.
I opened the hood, opened the place where the oil goes and started pouring oil in. Some spilled and started to smoke, and then started to flame, until basically the whole front of my car was engulfed. The fire department came and put it out, and my little guy had a birthday he will NEVER EVER forget. I did get another older car to replace that one and then the engine died on that one... and we've been back to being a 1 car family ever since.
I never touch anything to do with cars since other than filling the gas.

Losing the regain! I got this!
The firemen came for his birthday! Could you convince them to give him a tour of the firetruck??!
OMG, how scary! I've never set a car on fire - I'm impressed!

Morning! I'm still on my way to work-- apparently the president will be in town and traffic is a beast- Grrr.
Qotd: i cant do any sort of repairs- but I'm knowledgable enough to know if I'm being swindled by an auto shop.i keep track of maintenance schedules- can check fluid levels etc. I could probably figure out how to change a tire or jump start- but I fear something going wrong- like the jack giving way and the car crushing me.
