My meltdown over skin
At about ~140# lost, I've had a peaceful coexistence with the excess skin- until tonight. Ugg. So its suspected I have some sort of muscle strain in my thigh from my fall. I've iced it- but really feel like the ice isn't even touching the core of the issue that's is bugging me. Dr. Google recommended compression-- which makes sense based on how it feels.
Ace bandage * excess thigh skin = me being a weepy mess. No matter how I apply the bandage it rolls away losing its battle with my pudding like skin. If I apply it standing, then lay down- it rolls because the skin shifts towards gravity-- and same if I apply it laying down then stand. In reality I should have bought 2- but they aren't cheap. I mostly want to feel the compression when I'm standing, in hopes that it helps steady my gait. I'll tackle that beast tomorrow. Tonight I'm just happy we didn't have duct tape in the house- I probably would have used the entire roll.
Skin sucks-- but it still beats having to wrap the thigh of a 330# me!

Do you have any capri-length compression leggings? Maybe that and the ace bandage would help give you the compression you want?
My legs are a hot mess, so I can relate. But at 8 years out, I have made peace with them. Hang in there.
I hope your leg feels better soon.

I'm sorry you got injured! After just 85# of weight lost so far the tops of my legs I can already tell will be an issue. I seriously doubt plastics will be in my future so I feel your pain. Good for you for looking at the bright side, but I get it.

Ugh, I feel you on the expensive part :( Since you've already bought one I'm not sure what you want to do? You could buy another or go for just compressing type legging i.e. tight leggings that would give you more support than this bandage is doing with the skin. But either way it's going to be more money unfortunately. Which completely and utterly BLOWS. But if you don't spend the money now you might be spending the money later and more on trying to fix an issue you could have been potentially addressing with compression now.
Skin does suck!

Try a compression short (i.e. biker shorts) or capri's. Anything you normally use to hold yourself together when exercising THEN put the ace bandage OVER it as tight as you can.
I have to do the same thing with my IT band strap.

Three pounds below Goal!!! Yay !
I am sorry you are hurting and that your skin is glaring at you as it tries to defeat the Ace bandage. I would try throwing pantyhose on over...maybe that would help?
Skin is a bear. I'm really struggling to make peace with mine too. I feel ya.
