What's On Your Monday Menu, RNYers?
Mamata2- you are awesome , do not ever forget that. I am so impressed that you are chasing your goal. You should be very proud and you have my utmost respect.
Good morning AV. Let's play a rousing game of "Diagnose that pain". So, I woke up this morning with a moderate pain in my gut. I don't know that I've ever felt this before, so I'll ask you guys if you've ever felt it before. In the past, if I had pouch pain, it was distinctly to the left side of my gut. I know where my pouch is, and this pain is not there. I also have had gallbladder pain and it's usually distinctly on my right side under my ribs. This morning I woke up with a weird achy pain right in the center of my gut. It's not high up in my ribs, but about 2 or three inches below my sternum and it runs to just below my belly button. I can feel it in my back, but it's mostly in my front. My first thought was my pouch is irritated, but then I started thinking about the location and I don't think it's a pouch thing. I was wondering if the gallbladder slides over to the middle after we have surgery since everything is rerouted? Hmm. it also feels like gas, but it's strange, so I'm not sure. I'll keep monitoring it and see what happens.
Yesterday was a clusterfuck of bad food choices and I don't even want to rehash the whole thing. Hubby and I talked about it today and we are cracking down again. My tummy probably hurts because of all the crap I shoved into my gullet.
QOTD: I'm moderately afraid of heights. I went to Chimney Rock, NC in July and I literally had to crawl off of a large rock called Pulpit Rock. But I can climb a latter or something like that, my fear is more of falling off a mountain, which is unrealistic, but it's more extreme.
Plan for the day:
B: Light and Fit greek yogurt and coffee with SF coffeemate
L: Turkey deli meat with mayo, tomatoes, pickles and cheese on half a flat out
D: ground turkey of some sort
S: not sure.
totals will be updated in a bit. I'm running late and the kiddo is still sleeping. I have to get him up and ready for our walk to the library.
I recently was experiencing some right side pain that would go towards my back. Dr had me do an ultrasound to see if my GB was behaving and a urine test to make sure there wasn't an issue with my kidneys. Everything checked out okay so for now we are playing it by ear and will investigate if it gets worse/more frequent as mine was intermittent but for now chalking it up to gas. Hope you feel better.

I had pain exactly as you described for about two weeks. I was avoiding going to the doctor as I don't have any insurance and figured he would order a bunch of tests I couldn't afford. I was starting to get pretty worried and then mysteriously on Saturday I felt better and continue to feel like my old self again. I don't know what the hell it was but I was diagnosed about 35 years ago with IBS so maybe a reoccurrence? In any event I hope you feel better soon.
