Surgery Date for 9/28/16!

Finally after almost a year I have a surgery date! In October of last year 1 week before my surgery was planned I found out there was an exclusion for weight loss surgery on my insurance plan. When it came time in the end of December to enroll for my insurance for 2016 I was able to pick a new plan that included the weight loss surgery. I had to start the whole process over again due to needing to pick a new doctor because my current one did not participate with my new insurance co. I should have been going for surgery in July when I had a sudden onset of diabetes that put me in the hospital for 5 days. That put my surgery off until my diabetes was under control. Now I'm just 2 1/2 weeks out from getting surgery! Whoo hoo!  

Hopefully there will be no more set backs!

Its been a long journey for you but only 18 days and you will be starting a new journey!  We will celebrate for you at the ObesityHelp Conference.

Hello, Welcome to the September group!  We are growing daily, you are lucky number 16.  Half of the group has already had the surgery and are resting comfortably, there are three of us going 9/14 including myself.  And more of you at the end of the month.

Surgery twins! Mine is on 9/28 as well and I have been working on this since December 2015. I'm excited, nervous and then excited all the time :)

Yes we are surgery twins! Congrats on your date! I feel the same way you do about it.

It will truly be here before you know it and all of the work up until now will pay off.
