had my RNY yesterday and it went well.  I had a LOT of nausea and spent four hours in recovery, but then was fine.  I was up standing at 1:15 am, had my first walk at 11:00 and so far have tried jello, broth and iice chips.  Very little pain so far... Just a lot of pressure.   I am trying to get in my liquids, and have another walk coming up.

I am so glad it is over with!  Congras lovely_caprice!  We did it!

Yay Cheryl!!  So happy everything went well for you.  I'm surprised they have you eating jello and broth so soon.  Keep us updated on your progress.

I have a very different set of guidelines.  I could have ordered cream of wheat, pudding, variety of drinks, decaf coffee (!).  No barium swallow test.   Every doctor different, I guess.  I am at a teaching hospital, seems very forward-thinking.

Lucky you.  Im surprised your pouch can tolerate stuff so early.  I can't even have water or ice chips until the next day. I have to have the swallow test
