If you try to "complete" a day with under 1,000 calories for women, and 1,200 for men, you get that warning. They do that to cover their butts in case someone gets ill and sues them.
The warning changes nothing. MFP works just great for us, even under 1,000 calories. There is no way to avoid the warning. Ignore it and carry on.

I also changed my settings (from a desk top not mobile app) to what I want my daily calories, daily protein etc to be. I also never ever "complete" the day. Like the other posters have said MFP is for ALL People and certainly not geared to people who have had WLS. If they were smart they would create a MFP-WLS version, that would be amazing!
Just because you don't complete the day does not mean its not logged and counting for you, it still is. Good luck!
