I just wanted to wish the both of you the best of luck tomorrow on your BIG day.....I wish you an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery.

Aaaack!  I have the second surgery so do not have to be there until 10:45.  I am also an ERAS patient so I have all of these new rules... Drink apple juice before bed, five antiseptic showers, drink apple juice after parking the car at hospital, bring and drink water on the 2+ hour drive to the hospital.  Interesting change from previous surgeries.  My blod sugar cannot be too high or surgery will be delayed.  Too low - delayed.  But I have to drink a bottle of apple juice right before they check my sugar!  So I am a bit stressed out.  But... Onward!  Will post as soon as I can type.

Wow.. I'm just the plain old nothing after midnight the night before. I don't have diabetes though and I'm pretty sure I'm not going to be scheduled first. Usually scheduling goes insulin dependent diabetics, then non insulin dependent diabetics, then everyone else.

Interesting!  I currently take a small dose of insulin, but am the second surgery.  I have a long drive to the hospital through Seattle, so I am glad we will not be driving at 0 dark thirty at least.

Well hopefully you won't ever have to deal with those issues after surgery.  Being second stinks, I to am the second surgery at noon.  Sending calm positive energy your way for a quick speedy recovery.
