Protein levels.
How are protein levels measured in blood work? Is it a 3 month average like A1C or a month snapshot?
it is not 3 months like A1c. It is reflective of the amount of protein in your blood at the time of the draw. Ferritin is the .amount that is in storage for the body to pull from
There are three measures if I have it correctly... Total Protein, Albumin, and pre-albumin. Total Protein is considered the least accurate measure. pre-albumin is the one they worry about the most... I know this because I have struggled with low protein-pre-albumin... I need to eat numbers higher than most people...

It's still early. I had just barely started on things like deli meat at 5 weeks, and was still using protein shakes to reach my goals.
Your capacity will continue to go up, gradually, over coming months. By a year or so you'll be afraid of how much you can eat compared to where you are now.
