What a crappy way to start your day!!  ugh At least you figured it out with enough time to get all his stuff AND HIM up and ready!!  NOT SLEEPING FOR THE WIN?!?!?!!

Confession time: So my therapist broke up with me because I was "doing so well", AND my 1 month coaching with my new program stopped, AND it was shark week.  So what did my fat girl brain do, it was like NO ONE IS PAYING ATTENTION....EAT ALL THE FOOD!  So that is what I did, for a week.  YIKES.  Up 8 lbs, back at it today, and sticking to it!

17 Months since surgery

M3: (1) HB egg, Dannon L&F Greek raspberry yogurt, 100cal popcorn at some point

Oh Melissa, that's too bad.  I'm struggling too, I am also up 6 lbs, partly because i'm not allowed to work out except for upper body so I'm sitting on my big fat butt too much and partly because I have eaten things I shouldn't.  The 2.5 lbs I lost on AMAW are back.   I have an appointment on Friday, I was told to bring my sneakers and the orthotics I ordered, so hopefully I will be getting rid of this darn boot and will be able to at least get back on the bike or do some more walking (walking in the boot is a pain, even with heel lifts in the sneaker, I'm still lopsided so my lower back and hip hurt).  No more plank jacks or burpees for me though.

Holy crap, you're STILL wearing the boot?  I would be *****ing loud and proud every single moment of the day if it was me.

Yes, Boot #2 which I received in July is higher and harder than the boot #1.  Very high tech, my dh had one like this 6 years ago when he tore his achilles.    Friday is the big day, cross your fingers and toes, say a prayer and swing a chicken for me.

I complain constantly but not here and not on FB, don't want everyone to realize what a total ***** I can be.

OMG, I'm sorry for your craziness of the morning, but it did make me crack up a little ;-) I love that his response was about wanting to wear shorts.

I'm rejoining the ranks of working people today after 11 days off and, of course, things are crazy. The saga of the mold continues, the new bids documents for our project are out and there are PROBLEMS, and I have a thousand messages to reply to even though I kept up with my emails while I was out so this wouldn't happen!

Vacation was LOVELY, though I have to admit that I was a HOT FREAKING MESS when it came to eating and drinking. Remember how I said I was going to try to stick to 90/10? 90% "good" choices and 10% whatever - well, I stuck to it, but it was pretty much the other way around - 90% WTF I wanted and 10% healthy - ugh. I'm not even stepping on the scale until Friday.

I know it's not Friday, but here's a little collage from my trip. We took a sunset boat cruise, rented bikes, rented a little two seater cruiser thing, played in the ocean, climbed to the top of the lighthouse, played cards, and drank too many Pimm's Cups.

Time since surgery: 2+ years

B: coffee with cream, chia seed pudding

S: Nonni's Thin Addictives with a Laughing Cow Light wedge

L: buffalo chicken salad with TJ's 3 Cheese Wafers (spotted these on the NEW shelf, 33 crackers for 60 calories and 11 carbs, hoping they're yummy!)

S: Siggi's Vanilla Skyr

D: chicken skillet and Sargento Snack Bites in Garlic and Herb flavor

S: Suzie's Thins with PB and a frozen Chobani Tube

TOTALS: Calories 1119, Protein 79, Carbs 77, Fat 56

V/W: started

E: 2 mile walk this morning with the sister

When I hit the grocery store yesterday I picked up a few old friends - like Nonni's Thin Addictives and the makings of the buffalo chicken salad - along with some new things to try - the 3 Cheese Wafers and Sargento Snack Bites. I probably should skip the carbs of the Thin Addictives, but I needed something different, so we'll see if I can control myself.

Any other favorite snacks lately, y'all? I'm bored!

Great pics! (...ahh I love a Pimms Cup...)

If I have the Thin Addictives I usually spread on a Laughing Cow wedge and then add 1.5 oz roasted turkey from Trader Joes to the top. It nets you 200 calories, 15 grams of protein and 16 grams of carb. Not a perfect snack but not terrible!

Oh, thanks for the idea of adding turkey! I'm sitting here like 1.5 hours after eating this snack thinking "Wow! My stomach's growling, this is why I stopped having it on my menu." Adding the turkey would help I'm sure!

Do it! It's one of my very favorite places on earth. AND it's neither very crowded nor expensive (as vacation destinations go).
