What does "protein forward" mean?
tried googling it but no answers... I am in that last three day waiting period, bored and anxious as hell, reading every last post on this forum.
I have been reading OH posts for almost four years and am still learning. For example, recently found out there's such a thing as KETO strips. Bargain alert posts are always appreciated; speaking of that, anybody know if and when Bariatric Advantage has special offers...need me some caramel calcium chews; correction...want me some caramel calcium chews. You are ready, your knowledge is power, you have prepared well, all of which will help things go just fine. Really fine.
I know, knowledge IS power! I watched a YouTube video of someone who used a tiny drink called New Whey, then before jumping in and ordering I researched it to discover that it is made from beef collagen, which is not really what I need. Good thing I am a data gatherer at heart.
i got some calcium chews at Fred Meyer that sure taste like caramel. Store brand.
I have tried but never found Calcium CITRATE chews (keyword Citrate) in any store. I don't know what kind of store is a Fred Meyer (??), but I do know what kind of calcium is instructed from my post-op manual as follows: "Each day, take CALCIUM CITRATE (not calcium carbonate) chewables or petite pill, must contain Vitamin D, take 1200-1500 mg, no more than 500-600 mg at a time, a minimum of 2 hours after a multivitamin."

Why do you have to wait 2 hours after your multivitamin to take your calcium? I have never heard that before.

Interesting. Most multivitamins contain calcium and iron which is why people are generally told to take IRON 2 hours after the multivitamin, not the other way around. I take my iron with vitamin c right before bed.

So what about Caltrate? 1200 mg, I could take half at a time. Also has D in it, only about $8 for 60.
