What's on your Saturday Menu, RNYers?
on 9/3/16 4:10 am
Yay for Labor Day weekend! It's supposed to kind of cold, rainy and yucky for most of it, here in Boston, but I'm okay with having permission to spend a few low key days inside... The last few months have been go-go-go, so it's nice to have some down time. Then a 4 day week, and then we go on VACATION! A whole week in NYC! I'm getting so excited :)
QOTD: What's your current hairstyle? Mine has been growing out for over a year with no plan. It thinned out so much after surgery that I really didn't need to cut it. But now it's looking so shaggy. I keep noticing cute cuts and I'm deciding whether to do something bold when I'm in NYC. Inspire me!
Mr. Hag is hosting a Labor Day cookout today so they'll be lots of grilled meat options to choose from. But...there will also be birthday cake for his daughter, and at least two kinds of cookies, chips, etc. I'll try to behave!
I'll report back tomorrow with an honest account of how I did!
Have a great day!
We have a high of 82 today in sunny Southern California. I will be stocking up and meal prepping this weekend for my AMAW. My husband and another friend have agreed to tackle this challenge with me
QOTD: I have naturally curly hair and I just started growing back some of what I lost post op. So for now the goal is to not look like this any way I can.
This evening my husband and I are attending a wedding without the kids! Yay! It will almost be like date night. So today's menu looks a bit like this.
B: egg and spinach scramble
L : leftover porkchop
D:?
S: beef jerky, deli meat, cheese if I get desperate.
Enjoy the cookout! Have a happy Saturday everyone.

Hi there Menu Friends!
QOTD: My hair is very long and I have bangs. My hair just started falling out so I may consider cutting it, which would be a HUGE step for me since I've had long hair since high school! But I am an "old lady" now, so it might be about time!
Yesterday I stuck to my menu plan perfectly and even ate less than I planned! And NO protein bars!
My menu for today is:
Breakfast: 2 eggs, scrambled with 3 strips of bacon
Lunch: lettuce salad with bacon & cheese & low cal dressing
Dinner: Meatloaf & mixed vegetables
Snack: Cottage cheese
Snack: Moon cheese
Snack: Turkey sausage bites
Snack: Oiko's Zero greek yogurt
(I probably won't eat all those snacks, but I'm planning several just in case).
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

It's sunny but chilly here in Illinois today but Lily and I got up at 515 and got our walk done. I'm bummed because my hubby bought me a bracelet made from the ends of two sterling spoons yesterday at the flea market. To see how pretty it was look at yesterday's late menu post for a picture. I lost it on my walk this morning. I just spent 45 more minutes back tracking to try to find it but I suspect it's in tall grass along our walk route and I'll probably never find it. It's was a beautiful floral and filigree pattern. I WILL NOT eat my Feelings! Moving on. I really have no hairstyle just long and basically straight like it's been since high school. Hubby likes long hair so that's why it stays that way. If it were up to me I would do a chin length style with layers. No plans for today but tomorrow we're going to my in laws for dinner. I do have to figure out something today to make to take. Post op 4 years and weight at 117.2 this morning. Here's the eats B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz fish 1/2 c roasted carrots D 31/2 oz meatballs with a bit of no sugar added pasta sauce 1/2 c cauliflower S mission one chocolate brownie protein bar. Have a great day everyone and make some amazing choices!
