The one and only time I was on a jet ski I cried and my husband had to bring me back to shore.  LMAO  I am NOT an adventure girl.  Glad you had a great time in Key West!

That sounded like a great Vacation! And you lost weight too. That's a win win for sure.

I take two Celebrate complete (have b12 added I think?), 3 celebrate calcium chewable a, thiamine, biotin, and vitamin d once a week.

Day 3 post op--yesterday was hard. I was super super drowsy and ha d a good deal of swelling, 100 degree fever, just wanted to sleep. Late afternoon I took off the scopolamine patch the surgeon had me put in the night before surgery. And I took a couple pain meds and went to bed early, slept for ten hours. Feel a good deal better today.

menu is the same of course...two protein shakes and 2 liters of water. Working on it all day. Since I'm feeling better I'm going to try to walk more.

These first post-op days are hard.  Remember to rest and walk as much as you can tolerate.

Hang in there, soon it'll get better! I remember those days clearly... well as clearly as I could when I wasn't asleep!

You're doing just fine. Each day will get a bit easier and you'll get a routine figured out. Before you know it it will be your new normal.

I'm at the library and realized that I didn't post the pic I intended to on my original post today, so here it is.  My clingy toddler.

Also, want to update and say that the weather today here is simply wonderful!  I had to put a light sweater on and a hoodie on my kiddo to walk to the library.  It's sunny and 66 degrees, with it only going up to the mid 70s today! Happy first day of September.

Good morning everyone.  I am lazing in bed this morning.  I have a 5 day weekend. Yay!  I am going to SunRiver today with the family for a couple of days.  It's in Central Oregon, and is a great vacation spot.  I come back on Saturday, and checking into a hotel in downtown Portland to celebrate a friend's birthday.  Fun packed long weekend.

i totally get what you're saying, Kristen. I can not only have those fat and ugly days, but I can have those hours. I feel great, and then something triggers me.  Ugh!  Why do we do this to ourselves?

QOTD:  I take 2 Centrum multis, sublingual b-12 every other day (plus a monthly injection), 1500 mg calcium citrate chews, and 2 docusate caps and carbonyl iron. My labs are good so far.

Time Since Surgery: 21 months

B:  Egg Beaters, mozzarella and bacon omelette

L: 4 oz flank steak

D:  I have no idea my brother is cooking tonight at SunRiver.  He's a really good cook, but I have no idea what he is planning

have a great day everyone, and stay classy!
