What's On Your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
ARRRRGGGHHHH
Terrible work day so far- making this fast. someone just royally pissed me off.
QOTD: I take 3 multi vits, 2 calcium citrate 500 mg, 1 dry D3 once a week (it is strong), and B complex sublingual once a week. I do not take additional iron because I have a rare blood disease and hematologist said there was no point for me specifically- would just need infusions if it got low. Once I'm 1 year out I will likely switch to patch but DR didn't want me to just yet.
I've been thinking of taking magnesium for the pooping aspect but haven't bought any yet.
Here is what I ate yesterday:
B: CM yogurt/CM milk/1/2 scoop gnc powder/miralax
L 3 oz roasted turkey/mushrooms/2 egg whites
DL 2 oz ham/2 pickles/1/2 fitjoy bar
S:3 oz ham/cm milk/gnc 1/2 scoop powder/CM yogurt/weigh****cher 80 cal ice cream
totals 824
prot 119
carb 41
Fat days/skinny days? Yup... just last weekend feeling 'fat' because of convention food and eating out.... yet stepped on the scale Monday morning and I was the same. All in my head.
QOTD: Taking Multi-vitamin patch for 6+ months and have had good labs on it. Added Calcium patch in July, as I would always forget to take my calcium. Do like the Calcet soft chews for calcium if I take it that way. Trader Joe's B-12 1000mg daily. 20,000mg Vit-D daily - liquid drops from Vitamin Shoppe...I know that sounds like a crazy amount, but I have been chronically deficient for almost 20 years...and after surgery, when I found the liquid and worked my way up to a high dose, is the only way I am not scraping the bottom of the barrel of 'normal'... Take KAL Magnesium Glycinate, 200mg AM and PM, 1- Ferrets chewable iron(Carbonel iron) at night with some Vit C gummies, Probiotic, Hair and nail vitamin...on and off... and a Luitein eye vitamin from Costco. Just started taking some Omega-3 wild salmon capsules from Costco as well because of inflammation from surgery.
Article in NY Times today about surgery my Plastic Surgeon did yesterday on the former "World's heaviest Man". He did surgery on him several years ago as well. There will be a TLC special on it.
World's heaviest man
1: 1 cup fairlife milk coffe latte with miralax
2: 2 eggs, cheese, bacon
3: grilled chicken, cesear dressing dip
4: yogurt with added protein powder, cantelope
5: steak, onions and mushrooms
6: turkey and brie (maybe)
weight this AM: 165

Good Morning Everyone!
QOTD: Morning - Centrum Silver
Throughout the day - Calcium Citrate + D3
Night - Sublingual B12, Fish Oil, Glucosomine Chondroitin MSM, Vit C, Vit E, B Complex, Hair, Skin & Nails, Vit D3, Vision Formula 50+, Liver Aid, Selenium, Saw Palmetto, L-Carnitine & MSM.
What I ate yesterday: Clif protein bar (I ate this BEFORE I posted yesterday and got the barrage of feedback against protein bars, sorry, just being honest.), moon cheese, cobb salad with chicken, sugar-free pudding. NO evening protein bar like I usually eat!
Thank you to everyone who took the time to post about my protein bar problem yesterday. I didn't realize I needed to totally eliminate them, but I guess I do need to do that.
Have a fantastic day everyone!
~ Karen
I wouldn't say you need to totally eliminate them; just maybe not rely on them so much. I still eat the occasional protein bar, but it's not an every day thing. Don't worry, you're doing great!
