What's On Your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
Good Morning! Lemme ask you guys something...do you ever have those days when you feel fat and bloated and then for no reason the next day you feel super fierce? No? That's just me? LOL Well, I was feeling gross yesterday but I'm feeling pretty great this morning. It's a good hair day, my outfit is on point (red cargo capris and a navy and white striped v-neck), my eyebrows are groomed and maybe it's the coffee that's tricking me into thinking I'm in such a good mood. LMAO
QOTD! Let's talk vitamins. Whaddya take? Errry day I take Centrum multis (2), Vitron-C (6, yikes), generic calcium citrate + d (4) 2000 mg D3 (2) and a sublingual B12. Not sure of the dosage on the B12...
Time since surgery: 2+ years
B: Chobani PB & J flip
S: ?
L: big ol' salad with shredded cheddar, grape tomatoes and avocado cilantro dressing. I also have some liverwurst and pork rinds. LOL I REALLY need to go grocery shopping.
D: Again, no idea. I'm working my second job tonight so unless Matt brings me some food or money, I'm going to starve until I get off at 9.
TOTALS: why bother? LMAO My mantra for the day:

Good morning! Well, I hope so anyway. Yesterday really just sucked from start to finish. And to add insult to injury my body is hanging on to every last drop of water and calorie that it can get it's hands on and I weighed in at a whopping 116.9 this morning, after getting down to 111 last weekend. F.U., body... F!U! So, yeah, I get going from fierce to flab and back in a day. Blergh.
QOTD:
morning: Calcium, multi, potassium, magnesium + sublingual B12 (once a week)
evening: a CRAP TON of iron
plus I take a daily patch of a multi, iron and D3
B: Fit Frappe Mocha Protein Drink (x2)
S: Mr. Cheese Os
L: 4 Finn Crisp Cracker with 2 Laughing Cow Swiss Wedges and Deli Chicken Slices
S: Light & Fit Caramel Fudge Pretzel

I probably should add some magnesium and potassium. I get some serious leg cramping. I hope you have a better day today.

It's really helped with the cramping (not just legs but hands and toes, too!).

I had to laugh at your F.U. body... we all know that feeling so well... the WTF moments when we look at the scale...
What kind of potassium do you take? Thinking I need to add that in...

Potassium Chloride is what helps raise low levels. Don't confuse it with Potassium Citrate. That only helps to break up Kidney Stones.
However, Magnesium Citrate is the only kind of Mag that we need. Ahh, so confusing, right?

I started taking Magnesium several years before surgery to help with my blood pressure. Magnesium glycinate is the only one that seemed to help with BP- I guess because it is considered to have more of a 'calming; effect than others, it also doesn't give you the bathroom problems...which I had no problems with at that time. :). It is also considered readily bio-available like citrate... so I have just continued to take it. When I stopped taking it in May when I had run out and just didn't replace for several weeks.... I started having muscle cramping...so it works.
I am not sure if there is a reason for me to switch to citrate except the bathroom advantage....

Yes I have those days. Today I feel fat, bloated, and just want to sit in a hot bubble bath with a pint of chocolate peanut butter ice cream with a slice of moist cake and a bottle of wine along with telling the world to **** off. But I am at work stressing about an open house we are having in less than two weeks drinking a coffee with just cream in it and having a yogurt with a few almonds. Ya me.
QOTD: I mostly do the patches multi, iron, calcium w/D, etc., but I did find a sublingual vit D3 that I have been using for the last month along with the patch since I am forever low. Have been for a good 20 years.
I have no real idea what I will be eating today got up late and just grabbed stuff out of the fridge. So far a coffee and yogurt.
