Benefits of WLS study long term stats

28% of my HW is 105.56 pounds for me. Which would not be successful for me but it still would be a massive improvement over where I was... I have mixed feeling about these stats.

I've lost 60% of my starting weight, so I would not be happy with 28%.

Right, I'm at 44% currently. But if my choice is the 1% they're quoting in the article v/s 28% I'll take the 28%.

In addition, if I hadn't had surgery, I would not still be at my starting weight. I'd be 100 pounds heavier, or more. So really, it's like I've lost eleventy billiun pounds.

Although I like hearing this, I don't consider it a very reliable study. The article points some of the flaws out, but downplays what that means. With such A high drop out rate, and narrow demographics, I don't think we can draw too many conclusions from this.

however, based on the body of reliable research we have at this point, I think it is safe to say that wls is currently the option that provides the best likelyhood for significant weight loss.

my thoughts anyway for what's it's worth ;)

LOL I had a hard time there, too.  I would love to not have a turtle as my tracker, but idk how to change it. At least it is up, I guess!
